No point battling for a point at Lincoln if you put in limp performances at home to Stevenage and Morecambe either side of it. We won't play a worse side before the end of the season and could only draw, when we desperately need wins. Campbell needs to come up with sone inspiration and new ideas or we'll just drift out the league rather underwhelmingly.

In your hands as it stands though.

We were fucking wank today, another Crewe was on the cards but luckily Cambridge made a
stupid mistake which we took advantage of perfectly.

I suppose that's why we are 2nd and Cambridge are a long way further down.

Basically we have a big problem with nerves at home, and it's resulting in poor performances - from destroying Exeter away then struggle against Cambridge, a team with all due respect lacking a lot of quality in comparison.

It was one of the more insipid performances I’ve seen this season, I was highly impressed with Cambridge, organised defensively quick on the break with a canny manager, add a top midfielder or forward (or whatever they can with their budget) and a playoff tilt next season could be theres.

We were just off it - CJ was poor, our touches heavy and play slow - but irrespective we won through a fortunate goal and that’s all that matters.

With what happened with others that’s a cracking day

What a blow. More than matched the Staggies today and were looking good for at least a point until capt fantastic Gary Deagan once again decided to give our opponents a helping hand. Suffice to say that Mansfield didn't have a single shot on target by that time, which is frankly poor from a side chasing automatic promotion.

I'm sticking to my opinion that I don't think of a promotion side when I think of Mansfield. They're solid at the back but very limited up front, irrespective of the number of players they have out due to injuries right now. Irrespective because all sides go through this at one point or other.

I'm no worried about relegation cos tbh I never truly felt
we were going down this year even during the time when
we couldnt buy a win. But it's really gutting to lose a game this way.

You’re now an honoury fan of Mansfield, cheers for Tuesday and today.

As for your view that basically we aren’t good enough to go up or whatever, if my view of Mansfield were the 2 games against Cambridge I’d think Mansfield were fucking wank, so I see where you’re coming from certainly.

As is so often the case at home we don’t concede - which is why we’ve the best defence in the league, and so often when that happens the other team makes a mistake or we play well and score which is why we’ve one of the best home records in the league

I completely disagree re Cambridge; although to be fair you probably big opposition to much every week whereas I might be overly critical.

I think they looked like the table suggests, although I’ll admit we looked similar, both were completely toothless upfront BAR that fantastic pass and finish from Mellis and Walker.

Good day though all considered!

We all have different views, if you were a neutral didn’t know the table and saw that game I’d imagine most would lean towards 2 midtsble sides with nothing to play for.

That said, probably like yourself with 5 games to go I don’t really give a fuck how we play - it’s the 3 points that matter

Fair enough Vanni. We didn't do anything to deserve the goal, were exhausted and hanging on by the end, so can understand your point. We have played really well in some games but also had some stinkers like Yeovil and Crewe at home and Notts County away. Today would have been classed as a stinker had we lost or you had equalised late on.

I thought Cambridge's standout player was Taft. It's a shame we never got to see that much of him at Mansfield.

Injury time equaliser!!! Every point counts!

Today is classic Swindon at home. With the end of the season in sight and on paper an easy 3 points against one of the poorer sides in the division. Can we take advantage and put down a marker to the teams above us that we are well in the play-off race?

I wasn't there, but from reports we absolutely battered you first half and should have been well out of sight. A scrappy first goal and then Theo Robinson basically misses a sitter straight afterwards which would have put the game to bed.

Second half, you know how it goes, nerves creep in, our crowd get on the players back, Yeovil gain in confidence and take control, but it seems we have somehow held onto an important 3 points, until an injury time free kick is swung into our box, one of our defenders flicks it on and Yeovil bundle it in and take a point.

No offence to Yeovil and Crawley etc, but our inability to take 3 points off struggling sides at home has killed us this season. Wellens needs to work this out, our home form has been generally dogshit for 3 seasons now and its the difference between us challenging for promotion or the mid-table trophy.

I put it down to the mentality of our players, that has to change.

Tbf, there isn’t much wrong with most of the players we have - on an individual basis, that is.

Keeper is of a good standard, both FBs are decent, midfield with Doughty in it is great, CBs are very good. Chuck Anderson and Woolery into the mix and that’s a good team - on paper.

It’s Wellens’ job to get these individuals to play in a consistent game plan. A couple of fresh faces next season and we’ll do well.

Agree on the whole. I still think there is a problem mentally with our players at home, that's probably because its so bloody quiet that they can hear the old duffers repeatedly shouting 'FFFFFFFFAAAARWARDDDDD' or generally berating the players.

As fans, we certainly don't get behind the team when the chips are down, that can't help.

If there is one then it'll take forever to be ratified by the EFL. Ours went to them at the start of February and is still waiting for confirmation.

Gissa win! Pretty please. I have to beg cos we ain't good enough to earn one.

If you score we can't win. One goal a game maximum for Crawley at the moment.

Willox and Gambin on the bench after injuries is a plus.

As for the Twitter abuse. Just stupid. Anyone thick enough to write these type of things deserves a slap.

That was shocking. We had the clearer chances but couldn't take them, however overall we didn't deserve anything.

Why are Franchise fans that didn’t go the game trying to claim Tranmere fans called Aneke racist names? Sour grapes so trying to get 14 year olds bans for things they didn’t say.

Seems to be a load of it at the moment, possibly idiots of other clubs doing it thinking its cool as its in the press a lot lately with the high profile incidents of late.

Sad times.

Totally. Its not a specific problem with any clubs or football in general, but society which is in the toilet.

I just cannot fathom why after all the horrific racism that occurred in the eighties, in around 30-40 years some of the human race just hasn't moved out of the gutter.

You might want to think before you make posts like this going forward, which make you like very foolhardy.

Yeah, a brand new Instagram account posts racist thing? Let’s see the outcome of that. If they’re a Tranmere fan they’ll get a life ban, suspect it’s one of the MK kids lying about racism in the ground though.

That's a very bold claim. Perhaps you should be sharing what you know with the police if you think it will have such an impact on the outcome of the case.
