Disappointing half from us at Tranmere - a typically unambitious display on the road. Let them have most of the ball, although we did have the best chance when Szmodics put it wide with an empty net gaping. Need to show a lot more if we're going to get back into it though.

First goal absolutely shite pass from Whitmore, second goal was never a corner but we switched off. Again. Just as bad as the Doidge goal on the opening day. Should be 1-0 really, which is annoying. Cook missed a one on one at 1-0. Davis and Fox been pushing up a lot, leaving huge gaping holes at the back. Fox now off injured with Famewo on so we have 4 CBs playing again. I don't know why Jolley is so hellbent on getting full backs up the pitch when he isn't playing our only pacey one. We'd be fine here with a flat back 4. Zac Mills would have been perfect for this one, in my opinion.

Colchester are a team of giants. We’ve done ok up front, good finish from Norwood to thank for the lead, but a couple of wobbles at the back and a bit sloppy in midfield. Still could go either way.

It's all gone tits up since I said we might actually be decent after the MK game. We've looked good in patches today but the defence has been dogshit. We have a handful of good players not involved so we can only hope they improve us when they're in the side but we need some wins sharpish before the usual doom brigade start spreading hate on Jolley.

I noted when we played Colchester.

They’re technically poor, a team of physical cloggers. Could work well in this league

I can’t smell a Twitter meltdown coming up if we’ve don’t improve second half.

We've made Bury look like world beaters with some of the worst defending we've put out in a very long time. Can only hope the new lads can outscore teams on their own or it's going to be a very bumpy ride til January.

Wouldn't be saying we were technically poor if you'd seen us tear apart Port Vale and Crewe - we're a different team at home to away. In past seasons we've looked technically good but too young and soft centred - this season we look capable of both, which is promising.

Fair result today in the end - Tranmere edged the first half but we had the best chance when missing a near enough open goal. We were the better side in the second half.

Why can’t we just have a boring 1-0. Why all the drama every game?

Still, 3 points

Very disappointing from us today. Nothing quite right in our performance against a very ordinary Colchester side who made their intentions clear by time wasting all game.

We’re making far too many defensive errors and need to cut them down. Colchester’s only three chances came directly from our errors.

Every single goal because of shite defending. We do the bits in the middle reasonably well, but in and around both boxes we are dire.

Danny Mayor is far too good for league Two btw... won player of the season last time he was in this league, bagged a class brace today.

His second was quality. Should never have had a sniff of goal, but can't take anything away from him there as it was a fine strike. Looked like a real handful all match.

Northampton are shite, fair play. They bossed possession against us in the first half, but Flinders was barely tested. Our goal was against the run of play though.

Second half they were dreadful. Their only shot on goal came from the penalty that we gifted them and after that we cruised home.

The fact that I can say we cruised home just about sums up how poor Northampton were.

Also, that iFollow thing isn't bad is it....

Can’t argue with a draw, but was puzzled with Colchester’s time-wasting and slowing things down. If they'd gone for it would probably have taken all the points.

And it was the shite lincoln that turned up, unfortunately with poor finishing ability to boot. Oddly played better with 10 men. 2 reds in two games doesn’t make for good reading either. Our lack of consistency is a bit worrying.

Yeah, what went wrong today? Saw it was 0-1 at half time and just figured it would be a classic 2-1 or 3-1 home win. Grind out that 60th minute equaliser and then bring on Green and/or Rhead for a 75min+ winner.

Another red for Lincoln, weirdly Mansfield have not received a red card this season.

We’ve had 3 reds and we’re hardly a kick ‘em side. Just dreadful decision making.
