You definitely have a growing fanbase and ours has stagnated for sure in the last 2 years (our worst ever 2 years though), agreed. Ours will rise again if we do well on the pitch (as is the same with every club ever) and get out of this league back to our spiritual home in L1. As for reduced ticket prices, our prices were one of the most expensive in L1 and L2 so long overdue and should be celebrated as it applies to away fans too.

What is the evidence of you having a larger supporter base?

You didn’t answer the question so you do need to say more. What evidence is there that you have a larger fanbase? The data over the last 20 years shows the opposite - we have had bigger average crowds 18 out of the last 20 years, higher ST sales nearly every year we’ve existed, larger record crowds…

Since you moved into your new stadium, we have had higher average crowds than you 2 seasons and you have had higher average crowds than us 1 season (this season isn’t over yet and ours will pick up if we do well so let’s not count that just yet) so if I am being very, very generous and just look at the last 3-4 years, it looks fairly balanced between us. As I said before though, the reality is you’re still on your new stadium bounce as we had for a few years post 07/08…your crowds will drop again soon though such is life in a L2/L1 football club.

Let's be honest your average attendances were only bumped up by thousands of away fans . That's something that your not getting in league 2 so it just shows up your attendances as being totally piss poor. I'm sure you'd like our attendances to drop but they are more likely to go up . Season ticket sales go up year on year.

Our ticket prices are probably the highest in L2 but still they come. Our ST prices are quite high but we pay. AFC Wimbledon is an attractive proposition for locals.

Yep, and you’ve been at your stadium the last few years and only last year you averaged more than us. Two other seasons you didn’t…

We had over 6,000 STH several seasons in L1 so your “crowds bumped up by away fans” is a load of nonsense. Yes we had some big away crowds over the years but the average away numbers at Stadium:MK always netted out at about 1,000 due to the clubs bringing a lot less. I know that because I followed the threads on this forum back then

So, even in the seasons where we only had 8,500 average crowds, we were still getting 7,500 home fans through the gate…that’s not counting the years we had 9,000/10,000 in L1 and L2 and 13,500 in the Championship.

MK Dons, a franchise that shouldn't have been allowed to walk straight into the football league attended by 'fans' who I suspect view MK Dons as their second club and probably have more love for the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal.

I reckon this is a view shared by the vast majority of football league fans up and down the country.

It's early to start discussing the make up of League Two for 25-26, but are we ready for Shrewsbury coming back down? Them, Crawley, Cambridge and Burton look in big trouble early doors.

Shrewsbury have been on the edge for a few seasons now.

Since Hurst got them to 3rd, they've finished 18th, 15th (Covid), 17th, 18th, 12th and 19th. Not many sides stay in L1 for more than 9 seasons or so, they eventually drop out of it and they're about at that point (see Fleetwood last season as well).

Directors from AFC Wimbledon declined the opportunity to meet with the new regime at MK Dons ahead of this Sunday's FA Cup clash.

Fahad Al Ghanim and CEO Neil Hart had invited the Plough Lane board to the director’s lounge this weekend, but the invitation was turned down, much to the disappointment of Hart.

“I've never experienced that before in 24-years in football,” he said. “I've never know home and away directors not joining together in the director's box, it's an experience I don't really like but it is what it is - we can't really do any more with that.

“But who knows what the relationship will be in the future between the clubs. From our point of view, we want to be positive and move forwards.

“Just before I arrived, we played them at Plough Lane, and I know Fahad wanted to attend, but they were told they couldn't for a number of reasons, and they were surprised and put back by that. It's disappointing. I think we need to behave in a modern, connected way.”

He continued: “I'm well aware what happened historically between the clubs, but I have no emotional attachment to it, and nor does Fahad or the board. We're new, we're respectful and we acknowledge what happened, we acknowledge the past, but we're not emotionally attached to it.

“I don't mind rivalry, you have them all over the world. North London derbies, south London derbies, all the Lancashire derbies - Blackburn and Burnley's rivalry is fierce but the directors all come together, have lunch and shake hands. It's a surprise and a new one to me.”

For the benefit of the doubt, I absolutely detest that club as do most AFC Wimbledon supporters. Rivalry? Maybe. Grudge match? Absolutely. Derby? Never!
