Bury FC - Joe Widdowson has joined Morecambe on loan from Bury for 2 months until the 28th October 2014 with a 28 day recall clause. Joe has only made 1 apperance for the Shakers since joining in the summer on a free transfer from Northampton, if the paperwork is finalised quickly, then Joe could be in the Morecambe squad for their game against Tranmere on Saturday.

Bury FC have beaten off stiff competition from Championship and League 1 clubs to sign dynamic attacking midfielder Duane Holmes from Huddersfield Town on a youth loan until 5th January 2015.

Described as versatile and dynamic, Duane was named Terriers young player of the year last season already making 25 first team championship appearances. His under 18 record for a midfielder is outstanding, 16 goals from 25 games!

Duane goes straight into today's match squad and takes squad number 28.

Good luck Duane, let's see some goals ;)

Possibility that Luke James could be on his away to Peterborough tonight as he has previously handed in two transfer requests. However,Peterborough have already seen their original bid of around 1 million pounds already rejected by Pools.

I wonder if it's Amoo, who scored against us yesterday. I've heard his name mentioned.
His celebrations were a little muted to say the least.

Luton fans what are the chance of Cullen leaving you this window? Sounds stupid I know but we have apparently agreed terms with a Lge 2 club for an attacking player and Hurst said its now down to the player but the player wasn't really aware he was available until we agreed terms with his club.

A rumour has appeared on the fishy saying its Cullen as he lives up North and is sick of travelling to Luton.

I find it hard to believe Luton would be allowing their stop scorer leave in Jan, and why he would go to a conference side so can you Luton posters tell me this is complete bollocks please!

I'm not sure any Luton fans have made it over yet. I personally don't see it happening unless they improve their options first (Andy Johnson) has been mentioned. They've been struggling (Sort of) with the attacking side with the injuries they have out.

I can confirm it's almost certainly complete bollocks. Cullen's immediate family (wife and young child) live with him in a village just outside of Luton.

He's on a three year deal and John Still loves him - rumour had it that he was happy to let Gray go for a reasonable fee because he believed that Cullen had higher potential. No chance we'd be willing to sell and no chance he'd be willing to drop back down to Conference level I reckon.

It didn't really make sense with him being your top scorer, with him being on a 3 year contract it makes even less sense

No doubting you but how come Cullen is constantly moaning on Twitter about his long drives back up north?

Parents/other extended family still live up there presumably.

Portsmouth fans Miles Storey? Totally hopeless or potential?

Looks more likely it is Storey to Northampton according to Swindon media.

I rate Miles, he is quick and knows where the goal is.

He is probably suffering for the brace he scored against Villa - hard to live up to the hype after that

Storey is highly rated amongst Swindon fans. He came back at the end of last season and scored a few whilst looking impressive. Come summer, we had the opportunity to sign Obika and have a fit and healthy Andy Williams, so Storey was just gathering dust. Thoguht he'd have pushed on more at Portsmouth, but I guess their over populated squad gave Miles less chance to sign. If paired with Akinfenwa, I believe he would be a great addition, offers bags of pace and a decent finish.

Great signing in Reeves by the way! He too was well liked at Swindon, if we didnt possess a midfield that is top 10 Championship in ability, I'm sure he would have had more successes here.

For the Grimsby fans, here is the word from the only reliably ITK Luton poster I know of (as far as I've seen, he's never been wrong about such stuff on the rare occasions he chooses to post):

"Cullen is going nowhere. The club has turned down interest from bigger clubs just not sure who. One in the championship though."

Jamie Chandler of The HEAD was subject of a bid from Bury FC....according to twitter...and the Head coaches...

Naismith would be superb if he hits the form of early season!

Natcam is being watched by Narwich...and others
Mayor is said to be the subject of a bid from just north of us....

all rumours nowadays..my "bang on" contact at Bury has left the club.

More for the Grimsby fans re: Cullen.

Just seen on your forum a couple of people asking about what kind of position Cullen plays. He's very much an out and out striker, a penalty box player. He has fantastic work rate but isn't very quick, can't dribble at all (seriously - I've seen him beat a defender with the ball at his feet once in his entire Luton career) and his hold up play is okay at best (he's quite good in the air for a little guy though). He's the type of pure, old fashioned striker that needs to play alongside a target man to be best utilised - he can't create chances for himself but if he's given a chance in the box he will take it.

He's most certainly not a player you'd want on the wing or behind a front two as posters on your forum were speculating (though he has filled in for us on the wing at times as we a) play with one up front, b) have no fit wingers and haven't all season, and c) that's where Andre Gray played so it was the obvious vacancy in the team even though it didn't suit Cullen at all).

Two out and one in at Town today.

Keith Southern in on loan from Fl££twood Town.

James Caton joins Southport on loan and Aaron Wildig joins Kidderminster Harriers on loan.

Very annoyed regarding Wildig!

Mellon has signed a 33 year old midfielder on loan in Southern who has hardly played in recent times whilst allowing our best player in League 1 last season in the same position to leave.
