Christ now we're signing Exeter's bench warmers on loan.

Be interesting to see if we can fall back into the national league again, that's where this club is headed.

Dylan Connolly has left us, pretty shocked he’s climbed a division to Morecambe. No loss really, absolute speedboat no driver.

Like a spitfire with a spudgun that lad.

Striker Kieran Phillips confirmed on loan from Huddersfield. I reckon he will be a decent signing, if we utilise his ability which seems not to have happened at Walsall.

Central midfield? What type of player is he in there for you? That's a position we require back up for with Rooney going. Needs to be energetic box to box type.
Not sure I would really describe him as box to box, he's more of a free role kind of player who looks for the gaps inbetween the midfield and defense really.

He was an ever present until Stubbs became fully fit, plus we have been surprised with the progress of Diabate. I'm surprised we have let him go, he's been decent. I think he has gone to free up a wage to get Phillips in, which is needed more.

Luke Hendrie had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Good player imo who never really put a foot wrong and deserved more of a look in this season. Was captain vs Charlton in the pizza cup game last week.

I see Luke Hendrie has left Hartlepool.

Would be a surprise to absolutely nobody if he rocked up here. Suits our criteria perfectly: cheap, lazy scouting, former player.

Yeah our midfield rotates really so it makes more sense as a rumour to learn he plays centrally.

Most sites had him down as a winger which made no sense as we don't play with wingers and we are potentially after a striker but more a back up focal point for Scott Quigley so that wouldn't have made sense either.

We need a RB. Would have him back here in a heartbeat.

Frank Nouble confirmed. At least Harry Smith might get a rest now and we actually have an attacking option of the bench - even if he is a bit pants

Always preferred the Non-League forum anyway, some decent chatter on there, I look forward to returning.

I’m guessing at this point if we do indeed bring anyone in today we won’t actually be announcing it until as late as possible tomorrow before the FGR game. Similar to what Scunny did on Saturday with the Grant signing.

He's been pretty awful in his second spell, particularly where he's been playing through the middle, but play him as a wide forward and he's a decent enough option for this level. Just not a goalscorer.

Amrit Bansal-McNulty rejoins Crawley on loan until the end of the season.

With us for the first half of the season where he has gone from not featuring to coming off the bench.

To be honest I think he is pretty good but he is another small attacking midfielder and we lack strength and running power not touch there.

Desperate for a striker, so what happens? Zach Clough leaves to go to Australia.

Granted he only scored three goals, it wasn't working out for him here (looked a tidy player, but not a finisher and never really got a run, in part due to injury) but after all the talk about how desperate for goals we are are we actually going to end the window with fewer forwards that we went into it with?

Signed some lad from City called Sammy Robinson permanently on an 18 month deal. Right sided defender in the Lewis Cass mould apparently. As part of the deal City have included a sell on clause.

Looks a promising one. Good pedigree from City and a permanent so one we can hopefully develop.

Rumours about a young lad from Manure turned out to be true but United have cocked up the paperwork their end and it looks as though it will not be happening.

The lad is D'Mani Mellor. Seems he has been at Salford for the first half of the season but not playing.

Seems like it, obviously will see how it goes with him but gives us a good right sided option now. It’s good we’ve gone in for him on a permanent deal, by sound of it we’ve been tracking him a while.

That should be it for us in this window. The fact we haven’t gone for another forward even after selling Rodders tells me Proctors return is imminent and wouldn’t shock me if he even suddenly turns up on the subs bench tomorrow night.

Is there any club in Essex/East London he's not played for?

Weird one that, clearly wanted first team footy, decent player at this level.

Our search for a keeper continues into the night, we know it’s not gonna be O’Donnell now.

Mike Fondop to Oldham is on the cards? At least he’ll provide the comedy as you slip out the league.

Don't blame him for wanting out.
He's been great every time he's played & not even getting in the squad at Exeter ,after having a blinder on Tuesday, was probably the last straw.
I'd have in the team ahead of Byrne.
Will be a good signing for someone.

Lol, yeah we haven’t got a chance of signing anyone if there’s another team interested. We’re left taking the leftovers again - Mike Fondop being our only strong rumour.
Your well & truly fecked if your going for people like Fondop.
One of the worst strikers we've had & god we've had some shit, but you'll get a laugh.
Throttling that Sheff Wed player was hilarious

Yeah Mike Fondop is hopeless, looks like an amateur player, he had the audacity to describe his play as Messi AND Ronaldo like.

Good for a laugh, that’s it.

We're linked with Nathan Delfouneso. He's scored about 12 goals in his career and 11 of them have been against us.
