Exciting prospect for sure. Some Town fans (not any on here) might just need to rein in what they think this signing signifies though, they're going mental with excitement on the socials! Just shows you what 20 years of utter dross does to a football fan. Obviously i'd love it if he helps us piss this tinpot league from the very start but realistically he might need some time to find his feet. The lad has never played a league game and has to oust some experienced pros for a starting spot. A little patience might be needed before he becomes the best CM in the league, outside of Bradford obviously

Jordan Moore Taylor training with us.

No idea. Seems a bit of a sick note.

Presume he’s trying to prove his fitness. Trouble is, we have a couple like him already.

Jack Stretton has injured himself in training and rumours are it’s the ACL and he’s out for nine months.

With Wootton also set to miss the first portion of the season we will have to bring in a striker.

How much did you pay for Olaofe in January again?

Over the moon with this news, fantastic defender who could easily handle himself in league 1.
We had him in League One he was a disaster his tackles we’re basically fouls and if he went in for one near the penalty area you closed your eyes and prayed

If Kamil Conteh is even half as good as his Dad, Antonio who played for Italy, then we’ve got ourselves a good un.

I think Grimsby have done decent business this summer with you lot on here have been going a bit overboard but this one looks really good.

Everything I watched/read after we were linked I liked. Not sure how interested we were but can’t help feeling this could turn out to be another Moxon situation for us.
I don't think anyone on here has been going overboard? Think we've been quite grounded and reasonable. I think the most bullish thing we've said is that we think we might have a sniff at the playoffs. If you'd have said The Fishy or Twitter Town have been going overboard then I'd have agreed!

We already know, along with Plymouth, Charlton and Derby amongst others. It’s looking increasingly likely us being close to signing him last week may have just been a made up story to kick start any deal.

The way you’re throwing money about wouldn’t shock me if you get Conte Snr in to replace Hurst if you aren’t winning every game at least 5-0 by the end of August.

Got to be the title minimum for you now. Probably need to win another domestic trophy as well to make it an acceptable season, maybe go a couple of steps further and win the FA Cup this time?

I said it a few weeks ago that I wasn't overly sure about signing him anyway, a 30 year old (nothing wrong with a player that age, but no sell on value) on big wages for a sizeable fee doesn't seem good business for us. He'd have to do extraordinary things to pay that money back.

Plenty of other options out there who make way more sense as signings.

Completely agree with you, just need to hurry up about it.

One for the Mansfield lot, Kieran Wallace, someone reckons he's signing for us sometime this week? Take it he's out of contract?

Yeah out of contract, a squad player who was required to fill in due to our unmentioned injury crisis last season.

Did a great job sitting in midfield, he’s the sort that will head a brick and did a good job, not very athletic but got a decent pass too, be a good signing for you.

I’d settle for winning the League Cup to be honest as long as it’s also with the League 2 title.
Even 2nd place in the league with a League Cup/FA Cup win will be an ABJECT FAILURE of a season.

Harry Clifton to Barnsley rumours picking up. Has done well and would be a loss but by no means irreplaceable. Would rather keep him but if an offer comes from L1 and we get to pocket 150k+ and he wants out then take the money, in my opinion.

He’d do a good job in the Conference I reckon. Strong in the tackle, would head his Nan if you chucked her at him. Not blessed technically though. I wouldn’t of been unhappy if he’d resigned here but with the strength of our midfield and how many bodies we’ve got there too he’d be about 7th/8th choice

Straight out of the Jonny Williams play book.

Same as you offered. I think it was about 150k. He’s worth nowhere near that but Millwall saw two teams with rich owners coming.
