Connor Evans to Wimbledon on loan from Stockport. That's 2 on loan and one signed from Stockport this season. I can't really fault the other 2 that we've got. It's early day's I guess.

One of the people on our forum that broke the news about Armstrong today has now said this...

I’ve been told what Wrexham are paying Armstrong and we should stay well, well clear.

Ludicrous fee and wage. They must be very desperate
Sounds like we may dodge a bullet providing we can get a striker in before the window shuts.

Edit: £475k plus 50k if they get promoted. 6k a week salary.

Bound to be some arse-covering briefings filtering out from the MK Dons end if this is true.

They'll be buzzing with that tbf, the reason he costs an astronomical fee for his quality is because they don't want him to leave
Yeah win win for them. Either they get a ridiculously high fee for somebody of his quality or they get to keep him

If he settles in and plays as well as the other two, I'll be very happy with that.

Some of these figures being suggested for Luke Armstrong are mad, his record isn’t even that good. Solid, but ‘good pick-up on a free’ level.

Jesus Christ, that's only a quarter of what Mullin's on. Bargain.

Anyway, we signed a young defender on loan from Stoke, Lewis Macari. Think we’ve left ourselves a bit short in central midfield so hopefully we get lucky with injuries there.

Tulloch confirmed - season loan.

Also suggestions Luke Hendrie will be off to Yeovil. About his level.

Stockport County.
Armstrong's a top striker at this level. Half a chance and in. Not an amazing all round player but sniffs out goals, goals, goals. I dread to think how many he'll score poking them in from the aftermath of a Wrexham long throw.

He scored goals for a poor Harrogate team.

I was amazed Umerah did pretty well at this level, always looked rubbish against us in the National League. Just a big, awkward type.

Notts fans said the same about Acquah and he's started alright...

To be fair it’s probably to do with the kinds of teams they were in against us. Acquah for Maidenhead and Umerah for Torquay/Wealdstone both in sides that would’ve sat in against us and had them as lone strikers just trying to make something from scraps, which can make anyone look bad.

Hendrie has gone back to Hartlepool instead. Complete waste of time that was only even slightly rated by our lot because of who his dad is.

Probably, but can’t be terrible surely if he got 15 at Hartlepool last season. And he won’t cost us a record transfer fee either.

I reckon 200K would get him, I like Umerah, not a target man despite his big frame, much better with the ball at his feet, needs to play with a strike partner, always looked lost on his own upfront.

We've just had a season ending injury to one of ours CB's so it's a decent pick up for us, rated him here first time round, just couldn't get a look in.

Half of our bid Armstrong then which is nice. We just need some physicality to go up with Eisa and/or Leko. Not necessarily a target man but someone that can give us a different sort of option when we need it.
