Rumours Danny Johnson could be on his way we've got 6 strikers now no way we will keep them all so I can see there being legs in that one also.

No good for you?

He's spent most of the time injured, when he's been fit he hardly gets a look in despite our other full backs being shite. Was awful filling in at left back, might get a chance on the right now given Dabo's public roasting from Deeney but given we're linked with a right back on loan from the Gas, he might not even get that.

Funny ain’t it?
A few posts ago Stocky was calling him Swindon’s best player, now you have “dodged a bullet”.
Got to love footy fans.
I literally said either in this thread or matchday that I didn’t want him when he was supposedly heading our way.

Bet they wish they hadn’t whipped Jonny Williams from under Bradford’s nose.
He has a few niggling injuries but overall he has been very good for us.
Probably our best player on several occasions this season.
I am more than happy we whipped him from under Bradford’s nose.

I know mate, I was referring to Stocky’s earlier post.
Anyway, only time will tell if he works out for us but now we are playing 3 at the back we really did need an attacking right wing back. Hope it comes off.

What comment? I said he was Swindon's best player and wouldn't get in our team when Southam Hales is fit, because he wouldn't. Swindon fans then said he wasn't their best player.

Re Hutton. It depends on what you paid for him. If it was the reported £200,000 then I reckon you’ve had your pants pulled down. Under £100,000 and it’s an OK signing. I know most fans like the usual ‘he’s shit’ spiel when a player leaves - he certainly isn’t shit - but I doubt he’ll transform you in any way. He will, however, pump in a load of crosses and also fuck up at the back on a regular basis - that is if he can be arsed to amble back.

I reckon I could work in Gillingham's scouting network. Look up misfiring players who were good last season. Offer 200k and/or double wages. Job done.

Only joking Gills, I rate Hutton. Destroyed us last season at their place.

We need an attacking right wing-back, he seems to be more or less the best about who's available in our range, I'll take the deal. Not really fussed if he's not so good defensively, that's what Cheye Alexander already does in that role if needs be, plus our centre back unit is probably amongst the best in the league so we're sound enough there. Anyone who can improve us offensively is fine by me.

Clough said today still waiting on our main target, the parent club is holding it up deciding what to accept, likely Gregory/Wednesday. At least two other clubs in for him.

I reckon another club like a Wrexham are offering more money, location is one thing favouring us and the fact Flint is here but nowt he can do about it if they don’t accept our offer.

May have to move on soon only a few weeks left.

It’s Derby mate. Only thing that may go in our favour here is he’d get more game time here. They only play 1 up front by the looks and it’s James Collins who’s having a good season by the looks of it. Presume % of wages offered is similar or id imagine we’d have been told to jog on. Fingers crossed but let’s be right, if it’s Derby or Mansfield there’s only one club he’s likely to pick.

Yeah when he plays he's good, he just doesn't play enough. We sort of knew that going into the season though with his record.

Wright is good. Don't know where he fits in mind.

Rumours of Oliver to Stevenage. Really hasn't worked here, been dreadful.

343 - not sure why he wouldn’t fit in?

Hutton is the most divisive player at the club, and unfairly so. Currently he is in my eyes our best player and a huge loss. You're not the top assisting defender in European football for past 18 months without ability. He's L2 Trent, little defensive nous but so influential in attack and possession. As we are set up in a 352, he wasn't really instructed to defend. May be an issue if you set up in a back 4.

TBF, Jonny Williams has had just a couple of minor niggles and he’s played 27 (or 29 on wiki) games this season. A few off the bench maybe, but they haven’t generally been through lack of fitness. He’s just been managed/rotated a little with Lapslie and Mahoney.

He’s been our best player on a lot of occasions imho.

Nup. We’ve been playing a 3-5-2 as well lately under Steve Clemence. Hence our need for attacking wingbacks. We currently have MacKenzie or Alexander at RB. Both good FB’s and are capable defenders, but lack a bit going forward. We definitely need some pace and attacking awareness and creativity in that position.

He does sound just what we need IF he comes here.

I agree with this. Personally I think Hutton has been a pretty good signing. He gets stick because he can't defend, but nor can any of our other defenders really. (Flynn's system and our training methods probably don't help either) if you are playing with attacking full backs, he's ideal.

Don't think Alexander likes 343. He played it at Derby but couldn't wait to change to 352 on Saturday.

We've had ex Rangers winger Josh McPake and Fulham defender Jay Williams on trial, but looks like we've decided against offering them anything.

I take it you mean Luca Hoole ? Very good player and would be an asset.

Rumours that we are thinking of bringing in Jermaine Defoe and John Terry as coaches...no problem with the first, but the latter is a complete and utter...see you next Tuesday!

Two of ours go out on loan. Kastrati to Kinstonion and Jaydon Davis to Braintree.

Neither have featured but the times I've seen Davis I've been quite impressed.

I think we maybe getting some of the never plays of the payroll to allow some signings to come in or getting rid of some to ease our wage burden.
