I think that's a cross between people not being allowed to take meat into the ground and meat being banned from the ground. Or something.

Can vegans be cannibals? Surely cannibalism reduces overpopulation, which means less people eating cows, thus reducing global warming.

Idea for a horror film: Vegan Cannibals of Crewe.

Just to clarify, I can confirm that people meat is indeed banned from TNL

All other meat products are allowed in though.

What's all this 120 years of failure stuff regarding Mansfield? Could have sworn we went through this exact same Billy Big Bollocks forum stuff for a few seasons in the Conference when Radford started pumping his money in. Let's not gloss over that. Adam Stag, Conker, et al were wild. Do we need to delve into the Jumping John archives?

If winning a Conference title, added to 1x Div 4 title, 1x Div 3 title and a Freight Rover Trophy is a successful 120 years, then knock me sideways with a doggy bag full of horseshite and call me Maurice, we're positively lathered in glory.

We haven't won a single league title in our 140 year existence so I just think you're being greedy... :fish:

Despite signing two centre-backs Norwich are still sniffing around Lincoln's Sean Raggett. #ncfc #lincolncity #imps

I did ask a vegan friend of mine if he would eat a placenta. He said no, I don't know if it was because it went against his principles or because it just didn't appeal. I also asked if he would drink breast milk and he said no to that too.

But what I certainly don't agree with is that home and away fans to TNL can bring in whatever food they want in with them. Kinda defeats the whole point of FGR's ethos doesn't it?

Yeah but Dale Vince didn't invent FGR, it's Vince's ethos, not FGR's and the stick approach wouldn't have won him many fans. Softly softly catchy Monkey-substitute-protein.

I have no problem with Mansfield. I barely know where the place is. I have a problem with teams who try and buy success and act like they are massive.

It's not my fault your geography is crap and not myself or one of my fellow Staggies on here as, to my knowledge bragged about buying success!

We are entitled to be a little optimistic given 120 years of just shear existence,
So I don't exactly appreciate your comments my friend.

Suggestions (possibly wishful thinking) that Norwich would loan Raggett back to us for the season, which would be a win-win for us. Get the cash (give 30% to Dover) and get Raggs for the rest of the season.

Rumours today that Gezhim Shalaj has signed a new deal this season. Was shocked he got offered a deal more so because he didn't really get a chance last season and Brown rinsed most of the foreign imports paying them off but I am happy if he is staying as think he is worth a go on a modest contract.

Pacey, tricky ex Dinamo Bucharest winger I would like to see him get a chance to show what he is capable off especially as Monty is out for Saturday.

Got to disagree, here. We'd all love an owner to come in and thrown the money around - it's about the only realistic way any of us bottom feeders will progress. We had Andrew Black, who employed di Canio, and spunked money on us. It was fucking fantastic, - while it lasted, of course.

The problems arise when they pull the plug

Rumours are that we've offered a contract to Robbie Weir after a successful trial..

I'm sure we'll be hoping to have that one tied up before the weekend

Speak for yourself, apart from playing B teams this is probably the thing I would want least for Cambridge, I despise the culture of bankrolled clubs at all levels and fear it for exactly the reason stated at the end of your post, seen far too many clubs crash and burn on the back of that sort of vanity project, I'd much rather toddle along sustainably thanks.

I'd be lying if I said the amount we have spent doesn't make me nervous but I've said before he doesn't do this every year. I think he sees an opportunity in this league this year and has pushed the boat out. Our debts have decreased and income is up, if it doesn't work out I doubt we will see the same again next year. Sounds a bit boom or bust but there is a bit more to it but I'm biased.
