He's about to sign a new deal I think then head out on loan to L1/L2. We played Sheffield Wednesday U23's the Tuesday before the season started and he caught the eye apparently.

According to our fans George Cooper has been linked with half of England featuring some viable clubs who could sign him (Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, Peterborough, Bury) to the downright laughable (Shrewsbury).

He's not ready for a move back to League One anyway and he needs this good season at least before he goes. Some making out we need to sell him but we really don't given the Hanley, Westwood and Colclough income from last year. Don't know why Shrewsbury were suggested though, they'd have to at least treble their record transfer outlay to sign him and they certainly haven't got the funds to do that!

Kyle Hawkins is excellent. Like said earlier, he had lengthy spells on the side lines in his season with us, but he's a big jailhouse door of a centre half who is easily good enough to make a positive impression in League 2. Was also limited at Field Mill because Pearce and Bennett were outstanding for us.

They're still talking up their chances of signing Mark Ellis from us despite the fact we only have two centre backs and he's started the last couple of games. I'd hope even we're not stupid enough to sell him.

Judging by the players we've been linked with and not the Bogle's, Aguero's and Ollie Palmer's some of our fans seem to think we have a chance of signing then the player Evans wants will be a target man type player. For what it's worth I think Hanson would be a very good signing for this level. I think him, Rose and Anvil are all capable of getting double figures this season.

Confirmed that he has gone to Birmingham now. No brainier if that fee is accurate IMO
