Why didn’t he stay with you?
He was on a good wage and our manager likes big fellas. Last season he managed to play consistently well in the division above even though he was in a bluddy awful team.

Didn’t want to play L2, I would’ve said he was our POTY having signed mid season, there must be a reason though why teams aren’t signing him in the summer, two years now he’s had to pick from the dregs almost half way through a season.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in our young CM Joey Dawson. I've never seem him play so absolutely no idea if he's any good.

If you're winning, a season in the Conference is reinvigorating. To be fair, until this season, the 15/16 season was our best since 11/12, or 12/13. And I include all 3 of our seasons since then as well. After promotion we basically struggled for half a season before pulling ourselves out of the shit.

I imagine if you get relegated and are then shite in the Conference then it is a hell hole, but for us it was bloody brilliant.
We opted to be involved in both extremes. Shite for five years excellent for one!

See we were good for our last two years, in fact we massed 184 points in those seasons.

anyway back to the transfers, Donohue being given a contract while possibly still be sentenced has surprised me.

He’s on a month by month contract. No doubt allowing for court appearances and possible chokey.

I saw that Donohue had been sacked for this incident yet Mellis just got a fine. Do you have any further details on what happened?

Mellis didn’t kick the fuck out of anybody, Donohue allegedly did.

Signing incoming. Watch, it’ll be Mama-Mia extending terms on our East Stand.

Chris Taylor signs a short term deal. He’s played with Bowyer at Blackburn and Blackpool. Can’t be on much copper, but he does bring a wealth of experience.

Very much a utility player.

Expecting Billy Clarke to be announced soon..

I’d him back if it wasn’t for the number of players we currently have for this position. Shay McCartan, Jamie Devitt and Harry Pritchard can all play CAM - all of which are in better form and are alot younger than Clarke.

Billy is well thought of round these parts.

Is he more of an attacking midfielder than a striker then?

He’s a number 10 that won’t nowadays score many, his legs have certainly gone but he has a sharp brain for L2 that compensates. Can’t see him starting that often for you guys but lots of experience and a really genuine nice bloke.

He got ten minutes plus on Saturday. What was most obvious was his first touch and control looked very good. He seemed to have good vision too. We have a fairly good midfield, and the one we need back is Baxter, but Clarke looks like a useful addition.

I think he’ll do well for you, especially in this league.

Newport County manager interested in signing Joe Ledley, Says he remains hopeful
Wilfred Bony (ex Swansea ) doesnt look like a possible signing even though he is training with us
James Collins ( ex West Ham one ) was a possibility but due to him living in the South East doesnt look likely

We've signed Christian Mbula who we had on trial or summer on a short term contract until January.

Much needed cover at centre back with Lancashire being rubbish/injured and relying heavily on veteran Nicky Hunt. Mbula looked alright during pre season so should do a job.

I think the bigger question is how have Doncaster Rovers managed to pull off such a coup in signing Rakish.

Chris Taylor signs......again!

The initial signing was stopped due to him featuring for Barrow this season. The FA couldn’t ensure the club that if he signed and effectively featured, we wouldn’t receive a points deduction; so we decided against it.

Following extensive talks with the FA, they have agreed to let him sign and face no possible penalties if he plays.

Only a short term deal, but it’s another much needed body through the door.

Karl Robinson is going to watch Swindon Vs Salford to look at a potential new striker. Any thoughts who that might be?
