Most of us knew Bowyer had lost the dressing room a few weeks ago. Saturday showed that again and tonight's news just compounds it.

The vast majority of fans absolutely hate him too, yet our board are seemingly backing him in this.

It's not a financial decision either, unless the owner and media manager have deliberately lied to us in the last few weeks.

Doyle is going to swindon for an offer less than their original one. Probably for the best, from a footballing point of view. Bowyer deserves to be sacked purely for what he's done to him.

Vaughan is an odd one. Signed by Bowyer, made captain by Bowyer yet now he wants him out. It's amazing he's got 11 goals as it is, even if theres a few pens in there. But he strikes me as the character to tell Bowyer exactly what the rest of the players and fans think about him.

Either way, a team useless in the final third just got a whole lot weaker. Mid table for us this year and a steep decline in ST sales to follow.

Lump your money on cheltenham tomorrow folks.

Oh, and one of the replacements? Matt Rhead.

On reflection (however much we’re all p*ssed off) it does make sense - Aside from how good these two have been elsewhere, Bowyer couldn’t get a tune out of either of them here so actually what is the point in going round in circles with them and us being crap every week, may as well accept its failed and give it a go with someone else. Good luck to the both of them and I hope they lift their shirts Balotelli esk after their next goal to reveal ‘F*ck you Bowyer you useless sack of sh*t’, or words to that effect.

Vaughan was hardly a failure, was he?

Doyle was always too emotive for both sides. Logically, I could never understand how Bowyer thought he get him scoring without a wholesale change of style. Use his savings on a striker who suits the way he wants to play. God knows what your dressing room is like now. Maybe they’re all chuffed they’ve both gone. Maybe they’ve been dragged down by Bowyer to the extent they can’t be arsed.

Find out tomorrow evening, I suppose. Be toxic.

Not a ‘failure’ in the harshest sense, more failure to live up to reputation or ability. Like Doyle, Vaughan spent more time (far too much) on half way, not in the box, not in scoring positions enough that someone of his standard should be. Vaughan throws himself around too much getting himself constantly booked, he’s on the floor more often than he’s stood on his feet. Good players on paper not achieving anywhere near their potential, the opposite in fact.

Random thought. Bradford going all in for Will Grigg and having to surrender Doyle and Vaughan?

If true re Doyle and Vaughan it does seem very strange tactics by Bowyer? Could be a case of time to gamble?
Or maybe they are simply boracic?

If Matt Rhead signs tomorrow shit is really going to hit the fan.
Edit: Apparently on trial.

We're rumoured to be in discussions with Adam Chicksen who was released by Bolton - We've had him twice already in two loan spells.

We've badly needed another full back for a while, especially with Joe Widdowson being injured for the last 6 weeks.

Fair enough. But what a shit shambles. Wouldn’t wish this on any set of fans, tbh.

We’ve all been there, though.

Fuck it, I will comment.

The only problem I have is, we’re not creating anything, so shipping Vaughan out makes little sense. Rumours are that he’s had a fall out over how we set up and play, which I completely understand, if true.

Regarding Doyle, we brought him back to see how we would fair - the fans demanded that. I don’t believe Bowyer honestly wanted to recall him. Swindon (apparently) offered a fee around the time he went back and they have since come back in with an improved offer. That’s a win-win for us, IMO.

Vaughan isn’t on peanuts and Doyle’s wages are well documented, so shipping these out puts us in a position where we can bring in a decent striker on paper - which sounds utterly stupid as the very players we are shipping out are players who are more than capable at this level, IF played the right way. If Doyle goes for £100-£150k and Vaughan goes out on-loan, we could be saving £7k-£9k per week in wages alone, depending the loan agreement for Vaughan.

Unless Bowyer decides to change the way he approaches games and somehow instils confidence back into the squad and it’s fans, I don’t see our situation improving - whether we have Doyle, Vaughan or a Will Grigg in the ranks.

Reading between the lines, that sounds like nothing will improve with Bowyer in charge, do you personally want him out or do you think giving him more time is required?

Clearly the Bradford fans are close to being at the end of their tether so personally I think its going to be very difficult for Bowyer given the toxicity towards him. That said, if you get rid of Doyle and Vaughan and bring in 2/3/4 excellent signings, is that going to be enough for Bradford fans to give him breathing space?

It doesn't really matter who we sign. Matt Rhead or Robert Lewandowski, the end result is the same with Bowyers 'style'.

We’re led to believe our offer is now LESS than it was! The only strikers for Bowyer’s style is the big lump type. Not many of them about. Get Danny Rose, perhaps.

The only way to get things back on track is to start winning again. Forget all the little intricacies and politics, winning games of football is what fans want. If we can play well whilst winning, that would be a bonus.

It’s going to be an interesting few weeks. Fans want him out and so do I following Saturdays shitshow at Mansfield.

If the game goes ahead tonight and we’re served up more dross and excuses, it could boil over.

That's fair enough. Sounds like the buck clearly stops with the manager then. It will be interesting to see what the next few days and weeks have in store at Bradford. Ignoring some of the pathetic banter between Swindon and Bradford fans over Doyle I hope that things do improve for you guys. Not wishing to get into a willy-waving discussion but Bradford shouldn't really be dicking around in L2.

Hmm, it makes little sense to accept a lesser offer - other than wanting to free up wages; but if we wanted to do that, we would’ve done that weeks ago.

Simon Parker is well informed with most things City related, so if he and the T&A are reporting that Swindon are making an improved offer, then I have no reason not to believe it. That paper doesn’t deal in rumours: most of its info/content comes from the horses mouth.

Maybe you were more keen to get rid in the end then we were in signing him.

Whichever, just glad he’s, apparently, back.

Crawley News ...not that anyone cares.

Tom McGill; young keeper from Brighton on loan to the end of the season. Bench warmer I'd imagine.

John Yems has been given a three year contract. Personally would have made it 18 months but he has tightened up the shop and we do look more of a team now so fair play. I don't expect us to be tearing up trees with Yems in charge but we will be set up properly.

Adam May; a midfielder from Pompey on trial with a view to a move/ loan. I'll have to look him up.

I can help you with Adam May. He wasn't very good for us on loan this season. Still young and I think Pompey are looking to get rid permanently. Probably harsh to write him off based on his performances for STFC this year but it wasn't the best loan in the world.

Casey, I care. Well at least until 9.30 tonight. I hope you don’t get caught with Yems length of contract in the same way we did with Adams.

So Bradford could actually not only give one promotion rival a huge leg up but then go and aid another one! I’d be asking some serious questions if I was a Bradford fan, becoming a right basket case.

We have been a basket case since the Germans rolled up 3 years ago and bought the club off local businessmen. Despite being in the play off positions all season, the natives are getting more and more restless each passing week. Could be quite toxic at tonights game

Yeah. That has been mooted - based on nothing at all. We probably need to shift a body or 2 and he may well be involved in any Doyle deal.

I’d be sorry to see him go. He’s fast as fuck, decent in the air but fails to deliver when it matters. Should score more than he does, but he is involved in a lot, and I mean a lot, of our goals. We supposedly paid £350,000 for him but I tend 5o take that with a pinch of salt.

He’s a good egg.

Danny Mayor on the bench on Saturday and not in the squad at all tonight.

Rumours he’s off. Where though? Tranmere mentioned.

We're apparently after Wollery from you boys Agombar stool

Basically everything that ID has said. Has real pace to burn and is deceivingly good in the air but sadly just can’t use those attributes to make him a top lower league striker. His finishing is quite poor and because he is fast his decision making lets him down more often than not.

If he does leave, I wish him well. Always gives 100%
