Sounds positive fingers crossed we go for him. Might have something to do with us having had Hepburn Murphy one loan from Villa last season and signing Blackett Taylor who was released from Villa. Either could have put in a good word

I would guess he is a (better) replacement for Connor Jennings. Spearing will do a lot of the grafting in midfield, so it should work OK.

I rate him, but he’s one of those typical lower league players with ability to go higher but never finding the consistency. If he does find that, I used to always say he would make Mansfield a lot of money but it just didn’t happen here.
