Yeah still here very solid owners , we seem to be finally getting the playing side right to a degree aswell .
Good to see, to be fair it still peaks and troughs on the pitch, Carol and Kevin haven't got everything right and would admit that, the 18 months before this summer wasn't done well at all and the bodged up 2020/21 but still in between have give us some great times that we haven't had for a couple of decades or so. Wembley on the 28th May 2022 will always be one of my best days following this club!

Heard from a fairly reliable source that Owen Moxon is coming back to us.

Our DoF has done an interview and there's quite a lot of L2 (and some L1) interest in taking Rob Street (ST), JJ McKiernan (CM) and Dylan Duffy (LW).

I’d take JJ McKiernan! Had a solid season at Morecambe last year.

Rob Street - what a shit name. His stats aren’t much better. No thanks.

Dylan Duffy - we don’t play with wingers.

I think when those 2 guys of ours came in they were just fans with a lot of cash and effectively went to all the better run clubs - luton , Brentford , Brighton , Lincoln , Vale etc and tried to tap there knowledge basically .

I think we got Cass from you and we have picked up signings from all those other clubs either loan or permanent who are relatively decent .

Another year, another product from our goalkeeper factory who we'll never see play for us. Be nice if one of them stayed eventually but we'll probably seem him again down at this level eventually after sitting as 6th choice for a decade at Brighton. A “substantial six-figure fee” for a 15-year-old keeper isn't too shabby, mind. https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/spor...keeper-transfer-deal-agreement-with-brighton/

We're talking to you about Jay Benn apparently but it wasn't really clear whether it's about his loan spell generally or buying him. He's out of contract in the summer but we've got an option on him.

No idea how he's getting on to be honest?!

Cass was outstanding the half season we had him on loan from Newcastle and his injury was a blow but struggled a bit with the step up to L1 when we signed permanent. Liked him though and would have probably liked to have kept him in the summer.

Draper has been mentioned again today as coming back here by someone in the know who's usually not far wrong. No idea if its another loan or a permanent signing though.

Another rumour is Stoke will recall Lowe and send him back out to a league one club we are apparently bringing in Freddie Draper and a striker from the Irish League no name on him as of yet but some think it could be Frantz Pierott from Drogheda.

He’s keeping Brad Halliday out of the starting XI. He was the best RB in the league last season.

Benn, as with a few others, struggled in recent months, purely due to injuries throughout the squad/not having a settled starting XI.

Overall, he’s very solid and decent going forward. I’d keep him - local lad too.

That Draper has also been mentioned on our forum. Couldn't imagine him choosing us over most though.

Bradford lad, quickly became popular with fans here. He is providing good competition to Brad Halliday, indeed he has been the better of the two so far.

Not sure if he has played wing back for you or anybody else, but the position seems to suit him.

Personally, I would love to see him sign permanently if that's an option.

I would take Lowe, we desperately need a striker. Lee Gregory/Will Evans is one of the best pairings in L1 but Gregory is injured and we’ve got nobody else good enough for the level to adequately replace him or even Evans tbh.

I'd have Street back at Cheltenham like a shot. Very similar player to George Miller who can probably do with a break given the battering he gets game in game out.

Personally I’ve not been overly impressed. Don’t get me wrong he’s done better than Halliday who’s been woefully out of form this season, but if he goes I think he’s replaceable. If we end up sacking GA, I’ve a feeling we’ll go back to a 4 at the back and Halliday is still the much better option then.

I wish we would sack him and new manager to be a 4-3-3 guy. Agree that Halliday is far better in a 4. I have always hated the 3-5-2 whether it be City or England
