Not sure why the police always insist on early kick offs these days though.

Yeah it's ridiculous how often we seem to have to play you lot early doors. Don't ever really recall seeing a jot of trouble at Bradford Grimsby matches. I think you could walk through either town in away colours on a match day and the worst thing that would happen is some friendly banter.

Dropped out of the squad in recent weeks. Seems to have had a couple of injury issues over the past couple of years, hopefully they're behind him now. 23 appearances in all competitions for Blackpool this season, but it looks like many of them were from the bench.

Don't think he's injured at the minute, but has had a couple of issues over the last couple of seasons. Looks to me like Bruce has decided to move him on and that's why he's been dropped from their squad (speculation, admittedly). His last 4 games for them were starts. Sounds like he doesn't fit Bruce's 4-4-2 system.

They are either going to be inspired signings to keep us up (they'd have to hit the ground running) or will give us a good platform to build from in the National League next season

Is the Markanday thing definitely happening?
Huge blow that is, but 2 good signings coming in if those are to happen

Let's remember our fitness and medical staff are different now.
With hindsight, I have a bit more faith now than I would have under Simpson & Son when it comes to signing players with fitness issues.

Embleton had a season loan at Grimsby as a teenager (?). Looked quality and I expected he would kick on to better levels than he has( perhaps injuries have hampered that? ) Scored a couple of screamers from distance.

IF you get him and IF he stays fit, then he is very capable at this level, and probably the one above

First Notts rumour is Tayo Edun, left wing back at Charlton

Really underwhelming for us and has rarely had a good game at LB/LWB. He's been tried out in midfield in a few cup games this season and actually looked alright. He played in midfield in the England youth sides so may be his more favoured position but not had a chance for us there in the league.
