After a poor start and going 1-0 down, we’ve gradually gotten a foothold and had some decent moments in the game. Matt Jay hitting the post from distance has been our only opportunity though.

Walsall have been by far the better side and have played some lovely football and attack so quickly we've been pretty much overwhelmed the entire half; taken our chances though! Been a very entertaining game, never going to stay 2-1. Final score could be anything.

We we’re thrashed in the end. Steady first half performance to hold it at 1-1, but Blackburn were far too much for us 2nd half and destroyed us. Just hope the result isn’t too demoralising for the players, who should be proud of thier first half performance. No idea how strong the Blackburn team was mind, probably not very. Shows the state of the cup when a team two leagues lower (and three leagues lower in Exeter’s case) would rather rest players for an upcoming league game. Sounds like most league 2 teams didn’t farewell.

Congrats to Macc town though, looks like it was a quality game. Hope you get a big draw!

We played pretty well, but still lack the ability to finish off all our nice build up.

Frustrating to go out after all that effort, least the pens were at our end which was fun.

Akinfenwa was a joke, rumbling about knocking into people and pointlessly pushing defenders over every time he went for the ball. Must have conceded about 20 free kicks. Wasn't booked though, for some reason.

Played West Ham away in the league cup before, and were about 15 mins from knocking them out before finally losing in extra time. Will be good to see us play in the London Stadium at least.

It's a good draw in that we get to play at their new stadium. But logistically it's going to be a bit of a nightmare to get to in midweek.
