Fixtures kick off tomorrow night. Pretty good representation tbh, with at least two League Two teams guaranteed to progress:

Tuesday
Bradford vs. Lincoln (winners H vs. Liverpool)
Fleetwood vs. Port Vale (H vs. Everton/MHC)
Morecambe vs. Oldham (H vs. Newcastle/Blackburn)
Millwall vs. Cheltenham (H vs. Burnley/Sheff Utd)
Newport vs. Cambridge (H vs. Watford/Oxford)
Orient vs. Plymouth (H vs. Spurs)

Wednesday
Everton vs. Manc Hobby Club (A vs. Fleetwood/Port Vale)
West Brom vs. Harrogate (H vs. Southampton/Brentford)

Think everyone playing on Tuesday will fancy their chances to a certain extent tbh. Some absolutely plum ties await...

I'm expecting us to make 4 or 5 changes to our side as the game at exeter in the league saturday is more important.

As Andy says I expect changes to be made and we have the luxury to do it, i would like to win but the potential of a tie at home to Everton and a repeat of the St Valentines Day Massacre of 1996 when we knocked them out as holders of the FA Cup doesn’t seem as appealing especially financially with no fans there!

Can’t see us making too many changes, but with what is already a small squad, you do run the risk with injuries in these Cup Comps.

GK: Richard O’Donnell

CB: Anthony O’Connor
CB: Paudie O’Connor
CB: Reece Staunton

LWB: Connor Wood
RWB: Tyler French

CM: Callum Cooke
CM: Elliot Watt

CAM: Billy Clarke

ST: Lee Novak
ST: Kurtis Guthrie

Lincoln are a decent outfit, so it’ll be a tough one. Not sure whether we have enough upfront to see them off - conceding is inevitable.

We're going to make 2 or 3 changes I'd have thought

Usually a potential home tie with Spurs would be good motivation for a game like this, but with the game BCD and Spurs likely to field their U23 side due to being in the Europa League, this is very much a free hit for us.

Can't see us having enough to beat Plymouth anyway, we've simply not got the same quality they have.

Think we’ll make more than 2 or 3 tbh. Squad rotation needs to be heavy this season, and our reserves are almost up to the same crap standard as the first team. I’d go:

GK: Vigouroux
RB: Thomas
LB: Widdowson
CB: Happe
CB: Turley
DMC: Cissé
MC: Wright
MC: Dayton
FL: JMD
FR: Sotiriou
FC: Angol

Don't think we'll see many changes tonight. Also don't think we'll get through either.

On a side note, I found this quite interesting:

The club make £8.34 for each £10 pass sold via iFollow.

IF we make it past Lincoln this evening, Liverpool awaits. It’ll be interesting to see if we make it onto Sky TV’s schedule, because if I understand the breakdown correctly, we would stand to make a decent sum via iFollow. You would have Liverpool fans purchasing the game as “home supporters” - and they’ll be a fair few of them, let’s be honest.

Had the Liverpool fixture been played under normal circumstances, of course Valley Parade would be a sell out. Let’s just say the average ticket price for the game is £20 and there’s c24,500 tickets sold, this would generate a revenue stream of £490k. I understand the breakdown of gate receipts is 45%. So, before receiving any money for the game potentially being shown on TV, the club would stand to make £220,500 gross. Factor in policing and stewarding etc, we would arguably earn more from this fixture if it was on iFollow as opposed to the game being played at a sold-out Valley Parade.

Strange times.

Not quite. I think the PL teams have their own platform to watch games so won't use iFollow, which is an EFL platform (well, they can if they wanted to but probably won't). And if the game is on Sky then it won't be on any platform full stop (£125k TV money).

As for the game, we'll probably make two or three changes. We're not blessed with numbers so our defence basically picks itself at the minute although I can see Melbourne coming in for Roughan, who only turned 17 last month so three games in a week at his age will be a tough ask.

Midfield picks itself as well because Bridcutt is injured (currently using Jorge Grant as a 'sitting' midfielder!). We could do with getting some game time into Morton as well because he joined late in pre-season.

Bit of a weird feeling heading into this one because whilst it's a good draw for both sides, not being able to attend has taken that excitement away.

It's going to be fucking majestic watching Bolton fail to get promoted this season. I'm actually looking forward to the masi51 meltdown and/or convenient disappearance.

Bollox to either of them...I can spin anything.......Saturday was our lowest lge position in 145 years as a club...Saturday was the first time we have not been in a relegation spot in over 600 days

Not that long ago really, in my lifetime and I'm not 50 yet.
Oldham where in the top flight whilst the might Bolton where finishing mid table in div 3........ drop the big I am, its boring !!!
Football goes around in circles for most clubs other than the top elite,,,,, so bragging how big and great Bolton are doesnt wash with some of us. We are all where we are because of various reasons and not one club at our level has anything to shout about.

We won it when all teams actually WANTED to win it. None of this beating PL reserves.

Although we have a few injuries, most notably to Jephcott who scored on Saturday, Lowe likes a cup game. So I would expect him to be as near full strength as he can be. Watch out for our number 9, Hardie. He is very quick and likes to run on to a ball over the top of the defenders. Good finisher.

So I can look knowledgeable to the kids, who are your main players?

You was right, we've made 8 changes. As you say, mainly of the same standard of crap we have.
