Bringing Grealish and Kodjia on has made the difference. We had absolutely nothing before they came on. It's been a tough game.

Made hard work of that, but well fought Yeovil. Next round here we come, and best start to a season since the 60s.

Paul Cook wasn’t kidding when he said he was sacking this competition off. Played a second string and got whacked by Rotherham, good luck to them in the next round. C’est la vie!

Some Championship sides being pushed hard by lower league opposition tonight, Ipswich beaten on penalties away at Exeter and Bristol City losing to Plymouth at Ashton Gate. Middlesbrough and Forest have scraped through by the skin of their teeth.

Paul Hurst sounded suicidal in his post match interview after we knocked Ipswich out on penalties. I can’t remember seeing a more damning assessment of a team.

Tbf, Ipswich were near full strength and we also rested 4 key players and played some youth in the final 30 mins, so I can understand why he was so upset. But it doesn’t sound good so early on in his tenure.

Draws made after our game with Sunderland tomorrow, god knows why they chose this one for Sky coverage. I've got a ticket but still in two minds whether to drive up or not. We'll be making massive changes to the team with a lot of the kids getting game time considering we are playing at Brentford 48 hours later, to be honest I expect Sunderland to beat us, but it would be good for morale to get that first win and a good cup run would be nice.

Our game has been pushed back to Sunday, so you’re squad have the same time as everyone else.

Eh? You get 2 days more rest.
Shouldn't make a difference, players nowadays should be equipped to cope with 2 matches in 3 days, but yes they get 2 extra days.
Don't think that will have any effect on the result, I expect a defeat with or without less recuperation time.

Agree it's a certain home banker, if Brentford are on it they could pump us for 4 or 5 if our defending is as bad as at Wigan.
