A couple of catch up games tonight in this slightly broken season. 3 games with pretty clear favourites, but football being football I expect at least one of them will throw up an unexpected result. Despite the fans not quite being at the stage that they're throwing flares into the training ground like at Portman road, I can't see us getting much at Ipswich tonight. What I'd give to watch us score a goal again.

Our home record is awful against the top 7 hoping that will change tonight

Me too! Im hoping Stevie can do us a favour against his ex-employers. Someone has reminded me on our forum that when he left Mansfield for Posh, he said he was pursuing an exciting opportunity in China, which mysteriously fell through, resulting in him turning up not long after at London Road.

I don't hold out much hope for Brizzle getting a result against Pompey, sadly.

We usually just edge the games against the teams near the bottom. 1-0 home win with 2 shots on target. Shambert to stay another week I reckon.

Oh, I could only dream of the lofty aspiration of having two shots on target.
Joking aside, I'd imagine we'll have to score eventually if only through pure weight of numbers. Maybe we'll both get lucky, and it'll end up giving you an excuse to let Lambert go. Keith Curle is available if you want him!

I know the feeling. 18/19 season was the same for us. Watching crap sides brush past you each week. We have 5 loan players starting, desperate times. I’d even take you as the manager instead of Lambert!

Bright start, but I'm pretty certain we're cursed to never score a goal again.

Had all the chances. Ipswich haven’t looked threatening at all and we’ve looked incisive and sharp going forward, and when Kioso’s strike hit the post I was off my seat for the first time this season.

Ipswich’s commentator summed it up best for them when he said on the stroke of half time “I’m almost tempted to boo“

Game of 2 halves at priestfield, went into halftime with a pretty comfortable 1-0 lead. 2nd half Peterborough were a class above dont know what Ferguson put in the tea at halftime but it certainly worked, we just couldn't cope with Dembele.

That 2nd half performance from peterborough is the best team I have seen this season

Should be taking more than a point home. Good performance but a massive missed opportunity. No goals in 32 years now.

The ref squaring up to Judge has to be the highlight of the match
Still, good point really, probably bad enough for Ipswich to give Lambert the heave-ho maybe. Still no goals again, 550 minutes without hitting the net!

Lowest league position for 65 years, highest paid manager in the league. The players looked like they just met each other at 7pm. 5 loan players playing, no plan, no discipline throughout the club. He’s still here? Fair play to Northampton, could easily be taking 3 points if you had a bit of luck.

Will Fatty be losing his shit over his own player throwing himself to the floor to win a penalty?

You have to wonder what he said to provoke that kind of reaction.
You can see something in judges pointing, just looks nasty.

As much as I give referees stick, from this video and without knowing full details - good on the referee. Fuck these players constantly getting aggressive, swearing and belittling a referee with no repercussions.

He makes Judge back off so quickly it’s hilarious

Good on the ref. Let’s be clear, a LOT of footballers are complete and utter bellends. Surprised this type of thing doesn’t happen more often!

10 seconds previously Judge had thrown himself to the ground in the box looking for a pen and was berating him for not getting it
Drysdale would absolutely clean him out

Fair play to the ref for giving a bit back. The other Ipswich player was pointing away and Judge goes back in for more verbal's again after he's carded.

I doubt it.
I thought it was a dive too, as was yours at our place.
The problem is there is no retrospective action for simulation in English football, unlike Scotland and various countries around Europe.
The irony is that players spend the entire game, every game, trying to con the referee into giving a wrong decision and then stand there after the game and moan about the ref giving a wrong decision.
Diving is a scourge on our game and it’s about time the authorities starting doing their job and try to stamp it out.
I won’t hold my breath though.

You only have to look at the comments after games.

It’s never the ref had a poor game for both teams - just their own.

It was Drysdale years ago who sent Dean Windass off in the club car park after he joked ‘don’t give up the day job’ as they were both leaving.

Could've done without Wigan getting spanked ahead of the weekend.

Donny were never going to keep their form up and were going to dip at some stage. It's how quickly they bounce back - they've got Hull, Blackpool, Ipswich and Portsmouth as their next four.

We look like we’ve not met each other, all over the place, can’t defend, can’t pass and don’t look like scoring ever again. Too many changes to the lineup and Darren refusing to change tactics when the opposition have clearly worked us out.

Accy did that to us as well. A high press, and grab a goal when playing it out goes wrong.

TBF, they look like a decent team.
