Impressive numbers tbf. We might be able to reclaim bragging rights next weekend as we play Reading.

Yeah, ours have been unusually high all season whilst yours are understandably low. Barring something going incredibly, incredibly right with our minuscule chance at the playoffs we’ve only got one or two more games where we’ll fetch 1000+ (Stevenage & Derby) so I imagine you’ll get back past us. We’ll do well to rustle up more than 500 in any of the others bar Oxford.

Honestly ours haven’t even been that relatively bad. Our away support has always been lower in numbers than you might expect and it’s actually picked up a bit in recent seasons. That being said you are only ahead of us because of the 3k you got at us!

Those figures can't be right as Masi says Bolton only get 200 away fans every week..and not 1000 more than we do...

Looking at our remaining fixtures I can only see Cheltenham on Easter Monday improving our average

Without digging them out as any fan who travels regardless of who they support deserves huge credit in the current climate but Charlton was the worst following of the season for me (may well be the lowest we’ve had all season so far until Stevenage likely being less at the weekend in the league) in terms of numbers, I was stunned by how few travelled for it. Can tell it’s a fan base that needs to get its club back on track as usually on a Saturday a club of that size should bring 800-1000 minimum.

They travel well to us. Always do. Probably 3 times as many as you brought to us.

Be honest a visit to PV isn't very attractive is it

As they should as a) it’s closer and b) they get double our home fans.

As for VP being attractive I don’t go to grounds for them to be attractive but to support my team so never really get that argument.

Can’t imagine we’ll best 393 tomorrow night.

Considering we're 5th on the list for visiting fans, you're talking shite again, aren't you?

From memory that day was a train strike, coupled with frustration at Appleton and our form but yep those numbers are extremely poor. I'm not entirely sure why but the South London Clubs (Us, Millwall, Palace) have always seemed to travel relatively poorly. I remember occasions in the championship where we'd take a few hundred to Wolves for example on a Saturday

On a good season though, like you'd say I'd expect us to take 1000

Yeah like I said its not a dig, was just a surprise and shows how things have got in recent times there which I hope you sort out as you shouldn't really be struggling at this level.

But some grounds are more 'attractive' due to location, history, capacity.
Derby is more attractive than Burton.
Blackpool more attractive than Fleetwood.
That's just how it is

Nah I'm not talking shite. Charlton had over 2147 to us and u brought less than 650. 618 to be exact.
Get your facts right dumbo
He’s not on about that he’s talking about you saying Vale Park is not an attractive proposition.

By that argument Vale has a big capacity, loads of history and its location is in the middle of its community with plenty of decent drinking options close by.

I have zero ties to Burslem or Stoke on Trent (don’t ask I was obviously not smart with life choices as a kid!) so not as bias to the place but do think it gets some unfair stick. Some great real ale pubs around it.

Surely better than a breeze block Lego stadium on a retail park miles from anywhere.

It's not in a great city, by the coast or in London. Getting to the ground is a ballache from Stoke Station. It's relatively central, but that's about it!
And I haven't been since the 98th minute equaliser, some wounds never heal..

To be honest, I always found Vale one of the worst away days purely for places to drink etc, Stoke isn’t exactly a great alternative either.

This year though, with Brighton taking 5000 to Stoke on same day, decided to jump in a taxi to Newcastle under Lyme. Will be doing that in future now.

Fair enough. Couple of times I’ve been to Burslem, seemed to be all home only or absolute dives.

Have ended up in The Jolly Carter, which isn’t great.

Never done Port Vale, but it is a long way down on my list of places to visit.

Usually do 3/4 away games a season and always try and pick some new grounds. Done Portsmouth, Barnsley, Derby, Blackpool, Fleetwood, Burton, Sheff Utd, Southampton and Morecambe in past couple of seasons.

Out of all League 1 grounds, think I only have Charlton, Leyton Orient, Exeter, Cheltenham and Port Vale to go. Will do Cheltenham before end of season, Can't be arsed with London on a Tuesday night so two London clubs wont happen this season, so hopefully they'll get boxed off next year.

Good on the Orient fans who made the journey, not easy midweek in those conditions tonight. Wish we could have given you a harder game but alas not.

Tickets for our derby v Peterborough on Tuesday 5th March went on sale earlier this evening. The only problem was, they went on general sale and gave people an hours notice of the sale. They’ve now suspended the sales and apologised, and will start again with priority sales implemented over the coming days.

Problem is that we’ve shifted 1,000 of the 1,657 allocation in those couple of hours. Absolute fucking shambles, luckily got mine only because my mate rang and offered to buy mine for me.

Just read about a Bolton fan who travelled 8000 miles for the 8 minute game at Cambridge (lives in China ,originally from Kearsley) , he is back home for 2 weeks, he is hoping for a ticket for Northampton now on Saturday, he will get one with that sob story
