Fair play to the few hundred Oldham fans at the Ricoh today. Did their best to make the noise and celebrated like they had won the cup when they got the equaliser.

Just celebrating a goal against Coventry, weren't they?

Were all your top boys out?
Are you the same guy who used to post on the old Blue Square Premier forum, asking about top boys and did you take the home end etc.?
If you are the same guy then to still be coming out with the same crap 4 years later is pretty sad to be honest pal.
If you are a Crewe fan I guess you are the same guy as I know he was too.

My best mate growing up was a Mariner. His parents were from there.
He used to mention a fella by the name of Geoff Pilling, who was your main man in the late 70's,apparently.
Are the CBP still around,by the way?

Caught the last 10 minutes and it didn't look like many. Remember seeing a pic of the 500 odd we had there last season and it didn't look like much more from Vale today.

Load of lads I know who usually go away didn't bother. Price, time of year, away form etc. No surprise. Most sensible people would acknowledge those reasons, the wums probably won't though.

The Coventry game is another reason why today's following was so poor. Expensive time of the year people have to choose their games. Boxing day is the more attractive option. Loads of interest from what I can hear. Be surprised if we take less than 1200. Would have been a few hundred more if we'd have won today.

Prepare to be surprised then.

A large portion of the Vale fans last season got the train which is why I don't feel they will take similar numbers with more difficulties getting there.

Shelf United tickets were selling very fast for Wigan and then as good as stopped when they got the bigger allocation and they drew Man United. Then I saw the prices of their FA Cup tickets at Old Trafford. Horrible what they are being charged.
Sold 1748 as of yesterday 1630 so Wigan are expecting 2000 to travel which before the draw were expecting 3000 plus. Still 1800 - 2000 would be a great following.
