So am I, for a lot longer than him too!

No need for him to act the bigger blade bollocks!!

At what point have I acted the bigger blade or even remotely mentioned anything of the sort. All I said is I think our fans are pretty shit considering the numbers we get do you disagree with that really?

Things can be taken out of context when communicating in written form, been guilty of it myself.

You criticised Blademan for being negative about our poor gate of 20,800 last night. In fairness you both have valid viewpoints taken in the right context.

We usually get 17K to 20K for night matches, so an extra 1000 turning up when we are doing so well is (I agree) underwhelming and a tad dissapointing, relatively speaking of course because anything over 20K in league 1 is fantastic really.

However of course there's so much positivity surrounding SU at the moment that it seems difficult to criticise anything.

I agree with Worksopblade ( disagreeing with Blademan here) as I'm 100% confident we'all easily sell 7K for MKD even if there's nothing to play for and we've already clinched the title.

Regards the bigger Blade bollocks, does it really matter? We all have different circumstance and we should respect we've all paid our dues in our own ways. I use used to go to virtually every away match in the mid 80's, went to the odd away games (new grounds in the 90's) but hardly been to a single away game for 10 years. Have loads of respect for anyone going to away matches watching 3rd division football.

I don't think B89 was slagging the numbers which I'll say was pretty damn goods he slated the atmosphere.

I'm not criticising our numbers it's the lack of atmosphere I'm criticising. I think we will sell out too I just think it will go to general sale. And no idea where this bigger blade shit has come from I've said nothing like it.

Preston, barnsley,Fulham ? Plus you get 3k most of the time. We've had Fleetwood, Wimbledon, Scunthorpe, northampton all between 800 and 1600. We will of sold out 15 of the 23 games with the others being Tuesday night trips to Oxford, swindon, bristol rovers,Shrewsbury a Thursday night trip to coventry , a Sunday trip to Gillingham, a last minute rearranged trip to Southend and in my opinion what our only poor following has been all season at millwall. Ours realistically couldn't be any higher.

Yes I disagree! Enjoy the ride, praise the team that are finally worthy of it and just get behind the team.

Don't worry about future numbers, crowd volume or the price of fish.

Enjoy it !

I do that's precisely my point most of our fans don't get behind the team though. Maybe that will change in the championship as the expectation levels have to be lower.

Which it will be if we're near the bottom won't it , you go and watch us regularly so you know that's right, the numbers have been impressive but as you know they drop off quite easily if we do shit. I'm hoping that's not the case anyway need a fair few new players though for it to not be

Apologies to everyone from outside Sheffield, but Blades fans will find the championship very different from when they left it in terms of allocations given to them nowadays, the grounds where both teams were traditionally capable of taking huge numbers too, eg Barnsley, Huddersfield, Derby, Forest, add Hillsborough and Bramall lane now most probably, you will now more than likely get a combined total of about 13k tickets for all these places. I know this affects everybody, but the 2 Sheffield clubs could 30 odd years since, take this to just the Sheffield Derby and even the last time United were in the Championship got nearly this amount for Barnsley and Hillsborough alone. Not many grounds left now where you can still get large allocations and think this will just worse. Newcastle, Villa and Leeds sold out nearly evethere and have an average of 3.2k what would this have been if they were allowed allocations like they were 30 years since? Probably looking at 5-6k average which is almost beyond belief in this day and age.

What's Barnsley limit? Thought that was still around 5.5-6k

It has been this season but they've only given Wednesday 4.5k (approx) for this week because Leeds & Huddersfield caused a bit of agg.

I'm coming out of retirement for away matches.
Just paid for a king sized corner room at the stadium MK hotel on the Friday night before the SU-MKD match, agreed to a discount but theres no cancellation allowed.

All I need to do now is sort out 4 match tickets.
I have enough points but the others in my party have no loyalty points so will have to wait until the 1st day of general sale. Basically I'm going with or without a ticket. Can't wait.

Our average home and away attendances should see a decent rise with Bradford and Rochdale at home followed by Bolton away.

Slightly off-topic, but there's plenty of nonsensical shite being spouted on here;

13,100 ST's sold in 3 week for next season.

How much are they for next season?

£149 for adults
£5 for kids
Absolutely superb prices
Free pie every match, but they have cut back, no free pints this season.
Seriously fantastic prices, looks like 2 West Yorkshire clubs are leading the way in cheap season tickets equals alot more fans, in turn generating more cash through other sources. Ie food, drink, merchandising etc, let alone the effect a better atmosphere has on the team performances.
Well done Bradford and Huddersfield glad to see some clubs being forward thinking, hope others follow suit.
Very different approach to us, where the CHEAPEST match day ticket for Newcastle next Saturday is £42 (on sky Tv too!) Club charge these prices so they can (try to) vindicate charging £455 for our very cheapest (early bird)season tickets. Seems to work though as we sold 20k season tickets last season. People buy them thinking that it is bargain, compared to match day prices.
Know which approach I prefer and it's not the one my club are taking!
Sorry for going off topic again.

The reason you don't do it is cos people turn up anyway I must admit I'm very surprised how good you're crowds are considering the prices. We will also have 25k plus next year but we charge a lot lot less. It's absolutely brilliant what Huddersfield and Bradford do and it makes a difference, I've seen many people comment on the atmosphere at Huddersfield and Bradford is also the best in our division after millwall. A lot of clubs should try it imo Preston, barnsley , bolton , Ipswich they all could be looking at full grounds every week near enough

FAO Wimbledon fans on here...

You've allocated us 700 for the last game of the season - is there a chance that can be increased? Obviously we aren't a Sheff United / Bolton, but we've sold 350 already despite them only going on sale today, and I'm quite certain we'll sell all 700 - especially if the final day actually has something riding on it for us.

From a personal point of view, the decision to play this final round of games at noon on a Sunday is an absolute joke. Got my stag do on the Saturday night and there's pretty much no chance of getting a train in the morning that can get me there, so I've either got to get a coach at 4am or look to get a flight to Heathrow.

The EFL are set of twats.
