We will probably take around 4500. That's what we took to to West Brom last year. Not sure how your tickets are priced but they're very good value in our end so I thought the crowd would be pretty respectable.
£15 for adults. Our last couple of results might attract a few more, but I'd be surprised if there was much more than 20k at the game.

At a tenner for season ticket holders, fiver for concessions with a season ticket and a quid for under-16's it's no surprise the uptake from our end is reasonable.

We also last played at Villa Park in 1995 on a Wednesday and the time before that was 1962. That will help bump numbers.

Yep, remember that. League cup game, which we hammered you. Went on to win the cup.

Bury would have taken more than that in Wigans position and I'm not even joking.

Just because we’re top of the league doesn’t make Northampton any less unappealing or uninspiring an away day. I didn’t go for that exact reason and I’m guessing many agreed considering over 100 more fans went to AFC Wimbledon which is further away.
Such a massive club.
Shame the 1800 Rovers fans couldn’t roar their side home at Rotherham. Mind the gap lad. :fl:

The fact it's the team you support playing there and that you're top of the league should make it appealing enough.

The gap means fuck all til half 7 on May 5th pal.

It doesn't matter how well Wigan do in this league or how many L1 titles they win they will only continue to shrink every time they find themselves at this level and the parachute payments finally run out meaning you can no longer fund Nick Powell's wages on 8k crowds.

Nothing overly against Wigan but they're sort of stuck in a strange cycle now where to most of their PL bandwagon fans, League One or even Championship football isn't worth watching (this accounts for most of Wigan's fanbase) and also such is the gulf between the Champ and L1 it seems they're gonna be yo-yoing for quite a while between the two leagues (Bolton are similar). Even looking at last time Wigan were in this league in 15/16 their home fans only attendances have dropped by around 1,000 since and the away followings are pretty average.. 7,500 home fans on average and followings such as 200 to Gillingham, 500 to N'town and 470 to Oxford. What will it be next time they find themselves back in L1?

Then there's the issue of playing in a 25,000 seater stadium on crowds of 7-8,000 or less potentially in the future if Wigan keep yo-yoing.. not many people see that as conducive to atmosphere and so may stop being tempted along to games... You've also got a potential issue of L1 being so easy for Wigan every time they are down here fans almost become apathetic towards the league and stop going because the games aren't competitive??

The last point certainly may or may not happen but it's worth considering.

Well hopefully we won’t need to answer all those questions because we may actually put up a bloody fight in the Championship next season. Although this upcoming takeover will hopefully be a very welcome boost. Don't worry about us pal, we’ll be fine. I will say though on your last point that I despise the DW and I won’t be the only Wigan fan that shares that view. If I was in charge, I’d sell it off for housing and magically conjure up somewhere else in close proximity to build a new stadium the size of Bournemouth’s or Rotherham’s.

There were about twenty of those that kept reminding us that they were "Top of the League", I think it was their only song in their repertoire. I was wondering what they sing when they aren't "Top of the League"?

As others have said, I go to watch the Cobblers on the pitch (irrespective of their performance), not give marks out of ten for the away day or surroundings.

Any fellow millers fan on here buy football programmes in 2006 and take pictures of our following to Donny that season so i can prove this **** wrong again for the 50th time?.

And how can you make threats behind the scenes on a football forum, your just a lying bastard.

Sorry to butt in to a private argument, but the figures for 2006/07 were;
3032 Rotherham at Doncaster
2014 Doncaster at Rotherham.

I don't have any figures for these games from earlier seasons.

Wanted to go to Wimbledon, Oxford and Northampton away this season, was going to make weekends out of Wimbledon and Northampton staying with friends, but time of the year meant that couldn't happen, also couldn't make Oxford due to the date. A lot of people will be in the same boat.

Wimbledon, Oxford, Northampton, Bournemouth and Plymouth away in a month around Christmas and New Year is ridiculous, by far the most travelling out of all 92 league clubs and the cost at this time of year is difficult for a lot of people to manage.

Home crowds are pretty much the same as 2 seasons ago.

Our away followings will pick up again after Plymouth.

That’d make more sense if last season wasn’t our first season in League One for 25 years.

Think they are the figures the season after which we're on about because Bell Vue away end didn't hold that many but we took 3k to our first visit to Keepmoat because thats all we got because home tickets were doing well and we was bottom of the league that match as well.

The season before was at Bell Vue and we definitely sold out around 2500 ish, can remember it being absolute rammed and could barley move and it pissed it down all match with no roof and we got hammered that day as well, should have been alot more than 3-1 to Donny.

Nice one anyways for the figures.

I remember going to Belle Vue in the League Cup when we were Championship and Donny were League 2, we were 2-0 up then we went down to 9 men and lost 3-2 in injury time, great night that was......... :bg:

This was our first season at the Keepmoat, it was at Belle Vue when Rotherham brought less than 1000.

We sold out what we were allocated at Rotherham.

Our 17th defeat of the season and 5th 3-0 of the season too. Also our 6th consecutive defeat and 20th consecutive away game without a win.

We also broke a new club record today with failing to score in 7 consecutive league games.

Zeli went off on a stretcher and we remain 11 points adrift with 20 games to play.

26 games 17 points.

Never took less than 1k or even close to your place, not since i've been following them anyways. I know full on 100% we sold out that game because i was there behind a packed goal and we had couple of hundred or so allocated in that stand to our right with the dugouts for the older fans.

And your only taking 2014 when the railway end held 2600 suggests you didn't come close to selling out our place as well btw that season.

465 City fans turned up at Yeovil.

Shame the team didn't.
