Wow, so it's a praise for Northampton and a grumble at Southend. 4th in the league and 200 odd away to the seaside? Conference level, that.

Been ruined by Donny fans so forced to take a shot at us. Don’t worry we know we’re a small club and aren’t gonna pretend we’re not like Rotherham.

Rotherham fans were sound in October. Don’t know why they have to give it the big un on here.

Wow, is everyone so touchy on here. This thread is designed specifically to comment on away support good and bad. That's what I've done. Good = Northampton. Bad = Scunny.

I assume by ruined you mean getting someone so riled that he posts his personal number on a football message board and DMs me itching for a fight? I really should try and stop getting ruined.

Our support is, at the moment, the highest it has consistently been since 1982, and its still under 10,000. The natural level i remember at home was always 4500, often dipping below, so don't make broad assumptions plase. Aren't we all individuals on here? Some fans are twats, some aren't. Club is irrelevant

Quite interesting reading back through this thread about going in home ends, we used to go on a coach from the Main Stand bar to away games and for some reason they always got us tickets in the home ends, off the top of my head I'd say I've been in around 12-15 teams home ends, around 30-40 of us each time and never an ounce of trouble and we always celebrated our goals, even at Burnden Park when we equalised in injury time completely surrounded by Bolton fans.

Club reporting 1350 sold for Scunthorpe and have requested the additional 500 available.
Whether that means we have the side bit is not clear.
But there will be no pay on the day available.

The away end only holds like 1700 and if there's another 500 available that would mean the side bit will be open.

Don’t be causing trouble around The Berkeley or any of my watering holes. Me and my boy are on our best behaviour at the moment. Berkeley might be shut any road so you lot should drink in Thorne, come to the match and then get out of there before it kicks off. I’m just thinking of the safety of all the Rotherham fans. There’s an element of some of our boys who will savage you

Been to Scunthorpe many times and never been savaged before.
What does it entail?
Have I been missing out?
Anybody else been savaged in Scunthorpe?

Just be careful is all I’m saying. I don’t want what is sure to be a classic game ruined by the off pitch notoriety that both sets of supporters seem to be developing. I’m a pacifist. I don’t like to see people hurt.

There's not much trouble at our away games TBH.
Obviously we have a few dickheads who can't take their drink like most clubs but other than the bit of a scuffle at Doncaster,
I haven't seen anything this season.

Glandford Park has the worst atmosphere I've ever experienced at a football ground, and is right next to a retail park. Not rough in the slightest.

As I upset my Scunny friend earlier, hopefully I can restore a bit of balance as I think Scunny away gets a harder time than warranted. If you plan your day, it can be a decent away day. Whilst the ground even by the locals' admission is not at the standard of modern new build stadia, it's got a roof so you can create an atmosphere and their terrace end can raise the volume if they're playing well.

Looking forward to the trip. Is the 1,700 the bit behind the goal and side, or behind the goal only? Hopefully we can secure a third allocation if the latter as demand appears to be there.

1700 is behind the goal only, i'm not entirely sure how much the corner holds but it's obviously not that many.

Hope he does well for you. Did well in fits and starts but never got a proper consistent run in the side. Build the side around him and he will score goals. He can drop deep and he is very skilful. Scored one of the best goals I have seen from a Scunthorpe player away at Oldham. He is a little lightweight though at times

From memory it's 1600 odd behind the goal and just under 600 on the side.
