That 11k is more than you get. FA Cup winners 5 years ago and now you get 8k at home.
Sorry, I don’t ever recall saying we are a bigger club than Rovers. You on the other hand claim you are a big club, throw insults at smaller clubs like ourselves when your attendances and those 20k empty seats suggests that you are far smaller than you believe.
Would 4,111 be Wigan’s largest ever league away following?
Highest in over 10 years I think.

What game was that for? You don’t often get allocations like those in the PL, unless maybe one of the Bolton games??

Irony of Blackburn fan critsusing Wigan’s support when they are taking less fans than Wigan to the same away fixture.

Ours is a Tuesday night, rearranged due to internationals. Theirs is a Saturday.

We'll overlook the fact we're both selling out our allocations and the many games we've had larger away support than them. Not that I criticised their away support at Doncaster.

I don't claim we're a big club. I pointed out that it's not difficult to take half your home fans away when you're top of the league and only get 8,000 at home.

I remember us getting a big allocation at Everton in our first Prem year as they were awful at the time (lost a load of games on the bounce) and we were flying. That game sticks out because the year after we took another big allocation for Everton but only sold about 1,500, so the club lost a shedload of money on unsold printed tickets and had a hissyfit. That was the catalyst for us always taking the smallest allocations possible in the Prem from then on (and rightly so). Can’t remember what Bolton was in the same season but that would have been big I imagine. For definite though we had over 4k at Preston and Leeds the season we got promoted to the Prem and Huddersfield the day we won L1. That’s all I can recall from memory. I was a spotty kid back then and hardly travelled away.

Jesus wept. Blackburn and Wigan fans arguing over crowds really is two bald men fighting over a comb. Yes, both clubs are reasonably 'big' at L1 level but are fairly insignificant, and increasingly so, at championship level as will be seen next season.

That said, good luck to both clubs next season :)

Millions of Blackburn fans at Donny. Well 3800 ish, what a great night, only spoiled by dick heads invading the pitch and now allowing the players to properly come out and celebrate with the fans. Now to wipe that smile off Cooks face and win the title.

3,860 was the exact number. Nothing wrong with going on the pitch at full time, the dickheads that went back on when the players came back out deserve a slap like.

It was originally scheduled for a Saturday so maybe people who had tickets just didn’t bother coming to the rearranged game. Although not sure why you wouldn’t get a refund, sure you’re entitled to one.

We sold out. Just like we did at Bristol Rovers. And Wimbledon. And Walsall. The list goes on.

Well no you didn’t as it was all ticket
No one really thought the Donny game would be the game we could get promoted until after Shrewsburys result on Saturday.
So was a mad dash to get tickets from Monday onwards.
Obviously was a great night from our point of view and was refreshing that not one derogatory song directed to our hosts, who were fantastic in their hospitality.
Nice ground, good fans and ran us very close.
