£10 tickets worked!
You lot should know!!!

Seriously though, I think it probably added about 1,000 to the attendance. Some people would have taken advantage of it who would have been there anyway, the season ticket holders wouldn't have been affected by it, and the South Stand Upper (where there were no discounts and it's about £28 a ticket) was also busy.

They all saw a decent game and a win, so I'd like to think they'll return for the next Saturday afternoon game, whenever that is?

You do seem pretty bad but it's us who are holding everyone up.
Must admit I do fancy us to get our second League win of the season on Tuesday.
A defeat and we may aswell throw in the towel.
Other than at Plymouth we haven’t remotely looked like winning away from home, I think you are safe

Why £10 a ticket?

They had a ‘special’ for that game. Got to try and attract new supporters cos it looks like they are running out of old ones!
Now now Dan, no need for that, I've been nice to you recently!

It's no different to what many clubs do from time to time, and some (yours included) do it for the whole season.

Anyway, I wasn't going to give the Pompey bloke the courtesy of a reply, as he's an idiot on a one man stalking mission, and was only interested in a reply so that he could claim we had no fans or some other bullshit. But unfortunately you've given him the ammo, so I expect he'll be along later this evening when the junior ratings mess has chucked him out after he's had two tots of rum and touched one of the other sailors inappropriately again..................

I know, just joshing. He is a strange one, for sure. Has a hard on for Oxford, it seems. Wonder why?

Was it a tenner all round of just kids?

It was £10 for adults and £5 for kids in North Stand, East Stand, and South Stand Lower. South Upper was normal prices (£28), and didn't seem to be adversely affected by the offer, as it was about three quarters full, which is normal.

Obviously there are season ticket holders who've already paid, and I think there are 4,500/5,000 of them, and then the South Upper people who paid full price.

Evans ball making people stay away?
Will certainly have him moaning about not having the cash with the rest of the division.
Our crowds are down a bit this season, few hundred I think, novelty wearing off for some who have probably returned to streaming Liverpool and man u games.
Just checked we averaged 8986 a game pre covid and had 3 crowds of over 10, 000 over the 17 games we played and this season we've averaged 8672 with a highest of 9874 v Ipswich.
How are others doing?

Evans hasn’t moaned about not having enough cash, surprisingly. And to be fair to him (even though I dislike him hugely) I don’t think anyone else will do a better job in his position. It’ll be one of his biggest achievements if he manages to keep us up this season.

There’s a huge disconnect between the chairman and the fans too, not going to go in to it there’s another thread on here about it, but the atmosphere around the club is toxic. Partly down to Evans, but mostly down to Scally in my opinion.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see us head in the direction of Southend. Except when we end up there there won’t be a realistic proposition of a new stadium.

O God sorry I'd clean forgotten about the bad feeling towards Mr Scally

Surprised at Rotherham getting less than 8k home fans in one of their most attractive games of the season. Us and them usually get very similar numbers at home, but we had over 1k more fans this past weekend. I'm guessing it's down to them charging high admission prices in order to milk the Sunderland fans.
