good home embarrassing away considering they r joint top of the league

After the game, yeah. You absolute cockwomble.

Shrewsbury to Carlise 185 v miles 304 Shrews
Stoke to Oxford 121 miles 690 PV top of the table clash v poor

U want to look at your own before slagging off others

4 of our first 6 games have been away with Charlton and Blackpool away within 4 days of each other. Not to mention we always lose at Oxford. Even I didn't go and that speaks volumes as I.go everywhere usually.

It is traditionally a holiday week in Stoke, our gates/ travelling support numbers are always lower in that week. plus it is a bit crap there isn`t it.

Strange one though, even when we were far less supported than we are now (especially on the road) we've take 900-1000 Oxford, that said rail strikes may have been an issue?

A number of reasons I expect. Many people use the bank holiday to take a week away in that week. Trains all over the place. Lots of away games to start the season. Poor record at Oxford after a 4-0 mauling there last season. A ground we've visited a fair few times and it's probably 2 and a half hour drive. I expected 1000 plus but we do pretty well usually away from home in comparison to our home attendance.

For such a small club, we really irritate you don't we? So much so you've taken the time to look up both distances for comparison. I'm not even convinced it proves what you think it proves, considering we took more than double.

I will agree no one should be slagging others followings off though. Expensive time of the year with holidays, so many away games recently, cup games to pay for. Not cheap supporting your team home and away these days.

One of our smaller followings - 428 in a crowd of just 4228 at Stevenage.

Derby have sold out their allocation for their trip to Carlisle on the 23rd of September at 1546.

Good going to sell out two weeks ahead, cue the usual big-club bleating though about how they're going to 'take over' the home end that the home attendance will actually be 50% Derby fans and that we must not want their money if we're not willing to make 3/4 of our stadium available for away fans to purchase.

Cant wait for them to be grumbling at our away allocation now the away end is opposite and its 1500 down on last season... not that I have a grumble about that after we got a reduced allocation at theirs last season even though we sold out in less than 2 days!

So you’re not offering the terrace to away fans then?
That’s disappointing.

Bolton been given 3100 tickets for vale away at the end of the month so it's not that much difference to what was allocated last season.

Nah. When attendances rose enough for us to use it for our own fans on occasion they decided they quite liked it there. Not often we get the chance to have our fans behind both goals so we're keen to take it.

Wouldn't rule it out as a possibility for when we play Bolton. It depends how many home tickets we expect to sell. Anything over 10,000 and we're likely to want to put home fans in it.

It's open to home fans for the Derby game. Seating guaranteed to sell out for this one, and the hype being generated by the takeover talks may well lead to this pulling in well over 10k home fans. Can see this being 13-14k if sales continue on their current trend.

That was restricted last season, Derby got the full 4000 plus.

Wonder whether we’re allowed to drink within 10 miles of the ground this season?
