How many League 1 clubs will reach the 1k average barrier this year? Last year there was 5 (Sheffield United, Bristol City, PNE, Barnsley and Coventry).

Rochdale only have 1,100 season ticket holders.. So that's 3,400 home fans max for them tomorrow

I think the Bradford figure at our gaff was given as "2000" by the FL as BFC didn't announce the figure at the time. The club later announced it as 2,950, which brought their average over 1,000 (or at least it did in my table).

On tv that wasn't if i remember rightly? That was a cracking following from them if it was.

Yeah it was on Sky on a Sunday, think they had an unbeaten away record at the time and it was their first visit for a decade but still a good following all things considered.

I think I said the other week that Crewe's 146 was the lowest I'd ever seen at Oakwell on a Saturday. I have a feeling that accolade won't be theirs for much longer given Fleetwood are in town today . . .

Yeh,our following was toilet but Fleetwood will have less.
Looks like their inevitable decline has started.

Yeah, the average was over a 1,000 - just. 1,065 if I remember rightly?

Barnsley initially confirmed the figure at a round 2,000, but then changed it to 2,950, of which was a decent following considering it was on SKY.

Our away support this season depends on how well we do on the pitch, obviously. If we're pushing for playoffs, then we'll average around 1,500-1,700 - but if the season peters out, then around 1,200.

Ours will be similar (like last season tbf). Even if we're absolute dog turd for the rest of the season we've that many local games we should average 1,000+ no problems.

Cannot see Bradford averaging 1,500 plus unless they win the league.

We're hardly pulling up trees and we're averaging more than that already.

Still loads of local away days with big away ends to come. Wigan, Bury, Sheff Utd and Blackpool etc. Plus, im sure we averaged 1,400 the season before last and finished midtable.

If you're averaging 17/18k at home the minimum you should be averaging away is 1k tbf though.

If Bradford are top 6 by the end of the season, with the amount of local games in such close proximity they have, they should average in the region of 2k+, especially given their home support, that'd only be marginally over 10% of their average home game, which is what most clubs average out too.

Agreed. Don't worry, we will. Much like last season, the season before that and the season before that.

Just gotta be weary of you Lancashire clubs manipulating the away averages.

you're right, new figures released by us today say that were actually less than 500 Bradford fans at our place, meaning total home fans for that match were well over 4000

Weren't you in the play offs for the majority of last year though? At the end of the year you were 5th.

The season before last? 2013/14? Not 1,400. It was 1,153.

Rather interestingly, if you look at the link I posted earlier on, Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale, Oxford, Bury, Chesterfield, Plymouth, Carlisle, AFC Wimbledon (probably a few more too, just picking teams I know who were in L2 recently) all had better followings in 2010/11 and 2011/12 despite a 6-9,000 home attendance difference between the teams. Bradford were getting 400 away average with 11,000 home fans.

Draw your own conclusions from this.
