Pain in the arse to be honest. Can't just go to games with all your mates anymore. Like an MI5 operation to get a tickets and then you find only a few of you could get one. Not even close to reaching open sale yet either so that rules another load out.

It wasn't like this when we were last in the third tier or even the second.

It's great that attendances home and away are up across all the clubs but I do yearn for pay on the day, go with all your mates who want to go at times.

We’ve now decided to bring in a points system at the last minute too, and whereas it’s actually surprisingly makes sense given it’s mansfield, will add to the clamour for away tickets and points, thankfully they’ve also collated the data from the last 2/3 seasons.

We’d shifted 2,300 by lunchtime today as the stockport fans have said if you’ve got some with and some without season tickets it can make it a right hassle.

We need to get some spades in the ground to sort out the Railway End, to increase the capacity which will ultimately lead to more away fans being let in again. Plans look good, Railway End similarish to the Cheadle End opposite in size and the Main Stand to curve round and meet it.

Next summer though I think it starts.

Hopefully when the new Kop finally gets built we will move away fans back to the Tech end (behind the other goal) which would let us have larger away allocation.

Although last season only ourselves and Notts County had average away numbers in excess of 1200. It would be annoying if you have to turn Home fans away but your 2500 away fan seats are taken up by 150 from Harrogate.

Yes, but I don't yearn for the days when we were locked out at Preston because they let all the home fans in the away end.

Hopefully when the new Kop finally gets built we will move away fans back to the Tech end (behind the other goal) which would let us have larger away allocation.

Although last season only ourselves and Notts County had average away numbers in excess of 1200. It would be annoying if you have to turn Home fans away but your 2500 away fan seats are taken up by 150 from Harrogate.

Notts County averaged 1126 last season, below Wrexham, Mansfield and Stockport. Only Wrexham and Mansfield above 1200.

We probably will not get to split the North Stand much this season which will limit home capacity even more, work is underway in the early stages for the Bishop street stand, three stages first one is to make the current structure safe and usable, then extend the stand and finally add hospitality boxes above it.

Following on from the success of opening the South Stand lower for a number of games last season, this part of the stadium will once again be open to Wanderers’ supporters for this fixture - helping to create an atmosphere for the lads to thrive under as we welcome the Welshmen to Bolton.

With just single seats now on offer in the lower tiers of the North, East and West Stands and the main availability in the Upper Tiers being in the wings, supporters are urged to act fast to secure their seats and avoid disappointment.
Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers, said: “We are delighted to open up the South Stand lower to our fans once again and we have given supporters as much notice as possible to plan accordingly and secure their tickets.

“We will sell tickets in the South Stand from the Eastern side of the lower tier to the West and in the event that demand for home supporters is not met in the coming weeks, we will then create a segregation line and issue the remaining tickets to Wrexham.

“Starting with this fixture, the South Stand lower will be open to our supporters for selected games throughout the 2024/25 season - subject to demand. We have recently seen the positive impact that housing our own supporters behind both goals can have, so we hope Wanderers’ fans turn out in force once again and help create a fantastic atmosphere.”

I think there is a good chance we will allocate Wrexham more tickets, we are not going to sell nearly 26,000 tickets to home fans, particularly during school holiday season. We have not had 26,000 home fans in the stadium for 20 years.

They've sent us another 1,100 and possibly even more if they go quickly.

The club has announce we have sold 825 tickets for Exeter away.

Apparently there are 294 left, so if all clubs are the same, that's a total allocation of 1119 including the seat tickets available.

Would seem to be that we're only giving clubs 1 block of the seated, rather than 2, but according to our website, the away terrace holds 1045, and the end block is about 210, totalling 1255, so can only assume we've reduced away capacity slightly

Will be a fair few who will sell out at our place.. Birmingham, Rovers, Charlton, Hudders, Reading, Rotherham (should flog remaining 300), Wrexham.

Barnsley, Bolton, Stockport may get close, depending on how they're doing at the time.

We may not sell out because it's one of the main holiday weeks but hopefully we can take 1000 or so.

Also, times are hard and spending £80 or so on an away day is not possible for some folk.
My son is now in this position, he's got a 3 year old to consider and I can't always afford to pay for us both TBH.
Also being on TV live is bound to affect the turnout.

If Barnsley have a comparable season to us their away followings will be a few hundred better than ours in most cases.

Given it’s a friday night, during summer holidays and on sky it’s a pretty decent effort.

Of course it will also be a novelty as last year we were last in league 1, i-tunes was introduced, sugarbabes and atomic kitten were fighting it out for no1, finding nemo was a hit in the cinema and no-one had ever heard of man city. Richard Cranium was probably also in primary school

Because I know many of you fret at the size of the Edgeley Park away allocation, according to tonight's fans forum -

Although this should add up to ~1,700 seats, segregation would almost certainly knock two or three hundred off that.

That would mean a bigger allocation for each team and they would be doing like a lot of teams do giving the away fans the worst facilities basically no roof and open to the elements. Keep the 2 blocks at the side that you say usually go to away fans give them to the home supporters. I'd imagine Stockport fans who only go occasionally would prefer a seat in those 2 blocks on the side then an end behind the goal where your going get wet most games.

We have to give a certain percentage of away supporters access to some seats with cover so whenever a team has the Railway End they have to get a block of the Popside so to cater for more home fans we took the whole Railway End and give 2 blocks of the Pop (had to to just make it 10% of capacity to away supporters which is another rule).

Railway End will be be building work for 25/26 so it'll need to be two blocks of Popside that season.

Still don't really know the long term plan for away fans. I think it's possibly to split the new 4.5k Railway End in half home and away.

That's a fair rule but it didn't seem to apply to FGR. We were given something pathetic like 50 seats and you basically had to be in a wheelchair to get one.

I think we sold out Stockport the other year behind the net and a block or two at the side and it was 1400 odd.

Last season was much better with the new access point to the stadium down the side, helped being limited to 900 odd seats too obv.

It's embarrassing still having a stand without cover, can't wait for it to be sorted. It looked crap 15 years ago never mind in the modern game.

I like an old ground with character which Edgeley Park is and thankfully we've been assured by the owners it will always be our home under them, but there is nothing good about the Railway End. Looks shit, terrible to sit in, holds us back on capacity, creates issues for away supporters not knowing where they'll be how many they'll get etc.
