347 Crewe at Chesterfield.
1421 Doncaster at Barnsley (would have expected more. Is it not a big derby?)

WFC is correct. There's the usual trading of insults (we call them pikeys, they ask what it's like to shag our mother's etc.) and our respective youth "firms" make a nuisance/embarrassment of themselves but there's no real ill will.

Their following today was pretty poor considering the paltry 35 minutes between the two towns.

I've been impressed by some of Wigan's followings this season and thought they'd manage more than 1,800 for such a big game at somewhere they've not played for ages.

For 118 Col U fans to make that trip after the shit they've put up with this season is brilliant from them. Only 160 less than Gillingham.

Spot on, given our recent form I'm surprised we took that many, I relented a few days ago & went, a mistake I won't be repeating. If we stay up & im not sure we will 9 of the 14 that turned out today need shipping out. Another spineless performance.

Poor numbers from Dale.

Mitigating circumstances ( no excuses though)

We have been poor recently. Tuesday was probably responsible for 250 not bothering.
We are down to 2000 home fans
It's a scandalous £25 to sit in a bus shelter (we know..the rest of the ground is ace...but ffs...look after away fans better Bradford)
Many thought it would be off given the weather this week.

I enjoyed it...our best performance since we beat Burton so convincingly. A little sad I'm not making the trip on Tuesday now, but I've agreed to work until 6pm,

Just emphasises what I've been saying, we are the most inconsistent Dale team I've ever known this season. We are capable of being in the top 6 but also capable of finishing in the bottom 4 depending which Dale turn up.

Wigan, Port Vale and Peterborough followings are respectable, Gillingham should be taking at least 500 anywhere in the country with the form there in and league position. Donny following, anything below 2000 on a Saturday in a South Yorkshire derby is really poor imo, wasn't there cheap tickets aswel yesterday? Rochdale taking less than 500 what is around 30 mins away is poor.

We've won 2 in 7!

This season has financially been a killer for a lot of Gills fans too - wherever we travel to we have to go through London, which adds a big premium to the cost of the journey. When an away game at Coventry (a mere 280 mile round trip) is one of your most local games, then you start to understand why our away crowds aren't top of the league.

You have got a lot of travelling to do il give you that hence the reason no one comes to youre place in numbers. But i still think you should be taking 500 given youre league position

I went to Oldham once. I'm never going again. I'd imagine quite a lot of Gills fans feel the same!

With all due respect, a trip to Manchester (good as it may be) is far more convenient (and therefore better) for fans of sides such as yourselves than it is for the likes of us! How long would it take you to get to Manchester from Sheffield out of interest?
