Obviously we have 2 and a bit months until the season starts and lots of transfer activity to come but here are the very early odds courtesy of odds checker.

Sheffield United 7/1

Bolton 14/1
Millwall 14/1
Oxford 14/1
Posh 16/1
Coventry City 16/1
Walsall 20/1
Charlton 20/1
Scunthorpe 20/1
Bristol Rovers 22/1
Gillingham 25/1
Northampton 28/1
Rochdale 40/1
Swindon Town 40/1
Chesterfield 50/1
Bury 50/1
Oldham 50/1

To be honest, I can only imagine us being listed like that purely because no-one seems to have any idea who our new manager will be.

Saying that though, the bookies always seem to have us low down their lists at this time of the year for some reason

Great, favourites again. Youd have thought the bookies would have worked out by now that's a daft prediction.

Why aren't Bolton favourites? Even with their issues id expect them to be favourites.

Hmm, not sure we'll get the title but maybe second.

I'm not sure how anyone can give realistic odds on us without knowing who the management team are and which players will be signed. Having said that, last season we made them look stupid.

Odds at this level only really reflect where the bookies think most bets are likely to be placed. Having said that I think Bolton and Charlton are probably more likely to be challenging at the other end of the table.

Bolton 4th favourite? I'd have them down as lower end of mid table at best. It's too early yet anyway it's all based on who's gone up and down not who's done the best work in the transfer market.

They're more likely to go down rather than up as it stands!

Anyone that puts money on us at 20/1 is either a complete mug punter or has so much money they don't know what to do with.

What about both? I'm in both of them!

Must be worse than I thought then  Well that's one less to worry about then...

Any truth to the rumours Parky is leaving Bradford? Could mess them up if true.

We should be about 1000/1, with Flitcroft in charge we are going nowhere but down.

There have been murmurs, but nothing concrete. In fact, the new owner has confirmed Parkinson will remain in the hot seat.

Having learnt this week that we had the 4th highest playing budget last season, I fully expect us to have one of the highest next season.

Favourites to go down again... Oh well we've rammed it down the bookies throats the past few seasons so may as well do it again.

Rahic has said in his interview that Parkinson has a contract to 2018 and he's not planning on making changes.

Just put a fiver on Wimbledon to get promoted at 15/2. Yes, I'm a nutter.

...but after Burton, Leicester, and us this season, who's to say we can't?

No necessarily, you're just least favourite to win the league! One year we were least favourites to win, yet about halfway up the relegation odds!

Our squad needs some strengthening. I can't see how Port Vale are longer odds than us.

Interesting that Bradford are better odds than us, considering the play-off results. Is that because of the imminent takeover and presumed increased investment?

Lot of people must have already put a fair bit of money on Bolton for their odds to be that short at this stage.

A lot depends on what happens in the market. We've let a lot of expensive deadwood go so there's room for manoeuvre financially for Harris. Losing Gregory would be a shame, but he's far from irreplaceable IMO. Archer would be a big loss as we're unlikely to find anyone of his quality available to us for what we'd likely lose him for (£800k, at a push?)

You might do,, you never know.

If Fleetwood replace their manager, they look value at 50-1 to do a Burton. Don't think Pressley is good enough, though.

I remember Wimbledon beating them 8-1 in the conference playoffs (hard to forget) only a short few years ago. Would be amazing if either one of us are in contention. Although with the money backing Fleetwood, 50-1 does look attractive!

Our odds for relegation will be better now whilst contract signings are 'unofficial'. Get your money on us going down.
