Sounds like Roland backtracked and rang Bowyer and made him another offer. The hope is that he was told/advised by someone to do so, maybe the prospective new owners, who knows.

I guess from Bowyer's view, he - along with the fans are hopeful he won't be working for Roland much longer anyway.
