Carrick-Schweinsteiger-Mata as a midfield is a joke. No mobility whatsoever. Leicester have proven themselves a good side this season but a point will never be enough. We should've killed them off in the 2nd half.

I'm surprised at how awful Carrick has been in this set-up, it exposes his limitations as a CM. He's only effective when he's playing in runners. He's unnecessary for this team. I'd like Schweini and Herrera with Schneiderlin playing as the DM.

If Guardiola does want to go to United it's a no brainer really. If Van Gaal was in his 50's it would be another matter as I don't think he deserves the sack. But keeping him for one more year and letting a proven world class manager go to City would be a disaster we don't need right now.

Transitioning from Van Gaal to Guardiola shouldn't be too difficult either. With the foundation Van Gaal has built and the attacking players we could get with our finances and pep we'd be looking very strong going forward.

Anyway didn't see the game yesterday but it's a good point especially with our injuries.

Woodward surely wouldn't commit professional suicide by keeping LVG and letting Giggs take over while letting Pep go elsewhere. It'd be just like us to do that if the last few seasons are an indicator.

Though you're not pleased with Carrick the commentary made the point that your win ratio with him in the side over the last season or so was something like 80%+ and without him it was in the low 30's. Has his importance dwindled that much, or just in that formation? Which should really suit him just as well, it's not like he's being asked to be a part of a 2 man midfield.
