The focus will no doubt be on what out of work coaches will be watching our game from the stands.

Probably more of the same for us, good with the ball but shit without it. Can't imagine confidence is too high right now.

We pushed Colchester in the second half last week, had a few moments to snatch a draw. But our first half performance was poor overall.

Well after negotiating arguably the toughest set of fixtures in the past ten games we could of asked for we now head into a run of largely bottom half teams heading until Xmas and play 3 sides in the bottom 4 in the next four games.

Hopefully a chance to get some wins and points on the board (but this is Vale and never works like that with us!)

The injury crisis of the past fortnight appears to be easing and the Checkatrade in mid week worked out perfectly in giving us chance to give Manny Oyeleke and Jordan Archer minutes hopefully meaning Manny will start which is a massive boost after six weeks out.

Amoo should at least return as well so getting some bodies and some of our key players back should help us massively.

Like to see us go positive in this one and confident if we can put in the performance levels we’ve shown in glimpses this season we can get a positive outcome. Orient seem poor at home and having a few issues so need to look to take advantage of that.

Good to see we sold out the initial allocation and most of the second allocation given so should be 5-600 down there to cheer the Valiants on.

Big test this run to see if we can build of a positive start to the season against tough opponents, but no game is easy at this level and will need to be on it to get the win.

2-1 Richie Bennett and Tom Pope.

Love an away day in old London town .
8-18 train.
I'm wary of the easier run tag. We had an ' easy ' December last year and got around 2 points from 18.
Seems like lately Leyton are a good team on the both teams to score coupon.
Looks like the game too soon for Amoo and Oyeleke sadly.
I'll go Desmond , 2-2

Askey often says this and then both start.

Would be good if we can get either playing as we need some wingers! or at least if Manny starts we can go 4-4-2.

Not sure what to expect from this one. Orient are doing OK, and we look capable at home, but we need to start picking up league points away from Vale Park.

It all depends on who is back in the team or not, and either one of Oyeleke or Amoo back could turn the game in our favour.

I'll go for a 1-1 I think in front of a decent away following of travelling Valiants.

Down to the bare bones, again. Sounds like Manny and Amoo won’t be playing..

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Burgess get a game after he had a good game against Macclesfield in the cup.

Hopefully we can grind out a result.

I reckon Manny will start... despite what Askey said today. He said Archer would be out a while on Monday and hes in the team and playing Tuesday!

I'll be extremely disappointed to lose this, content with a draw and happy with a win. Good time to be playing Orient with the uncertainty around their coaching setup and the fact they haven't put it together yet this season despite playing some good stuff.

Hoping Amoo, Manny and Archer start and we go for the kill.

As long as we don’t amble along hoping for a nils, i’ll be happy, we’re just so toss away, kudos to anyone who goes away matches, we’ve been so poor for so long.

I'm there purely for the day out. Cheap train tickets 6 weeks ago.
Usually ruined by a 90 minute interlude between pints.
Proper club Orient and a decent ground apart from last time a few knobs on some sort of balcony at some Flats right by the away end .

If Port Vale let us have the ball, we will cause them problems.

But Pope and Cullen will cause us problems no doubt, our defence is still adapting to this level and they're not getting much help with the way Embleton has had us setup at times.

Port Vale should get something from this if they're not complacent.

Conor Wilkinson has been working hard up front in Lee Angols absence, but he will never be anything more than a 12 goal a season striker at this level.

Leon Legge also loves a goal against us.................

I'm not convinced that Pope will start even though he holds the ball up well. We have been playing Bennett more than him, and Archer who is looking better than them both, is now back from injury. Its a massive change for us to have attacking options.

Pope will be a sub most likely and Cullen is doubtful after picking up a knock from Tuesday night so adds further to a long injury list. Most of our attack minded players are out doubtful or not properly fit. We usually let the opposition come on to us away and play for nil nil so if that suits you then I'm off the bookies put 3 nil leyton orient down.

If amoo conlon montano oyeleke Browne cullen archer and Evan's were fit then I'd fancy us to win but with what's going be put out there we are likely to lose too many important players will be missing or not fully fit.

Im not that critical of our away form to be honest. Fans are moaning about two draws from five but we got an excellent draw at Colchester, robbed of a win by an undeserved Salford equaliser in the 94th minute, we admittedly shameful at Grimsby then unlucky to lose at 2nd places Newport and took leaders Exeter to the 81st minute with 7 players out, four of whom were key.

We’ve had a horrible set of away games and only the second half at Grimsby was particularly poor.

These are the real testers of progress from last season against teams that are not near the top. Injuries we will have to see but Manny will be on the bench minimum as will Archer.

Hard to say if Pope will play, assume Bennett will start as a lone man or with Archer. Hopefully Amoo makes it as then we can do our preferred 4-3-3 high press.

We’ve lost all four visits this side of the Championship days to Orient mind! Including the infamous Grew public explosion after a horror show there!

On the flip side it is still the only ground Vale have played an FA Cup quarter final on (and won) and was a good ground for us in the early 90s promotion battles. Could do with rekindling those memories rather than the former!

Only ever seen us capitulate at Leyton orient. There was a game about 10 years ago when we walked out after about 55 minutes and went on the piss

That would be the one when Grew went absolutely ballistic in the press interview after. We were that bad!

That may well have been the game which convinced Foyle to go and sign Justin Miller and Shane Tudor so we lost twice over on that one.

Yep, from memory we were 3-0 down after about 50 minutes. In terms of tomorrow, it depends how decimated we are with injuries. We scraped a point last week and we are pretty poor away from home, but we've got to win sometime. 2-1 optimistic win.

We signed Tudor on the back of his performance the season before when we actually won 3-0! I think Tudor played for us in that actual game we lost.

I believe the game you're talking about is a 3-1 win for us in and around October 2007 I think it was. We went a goal down, but went onto win 3-1 and Vale were awful in the second half. Not suprisingly, you was relegated that season!

Manny and Amoo both back in the starting lineup today. Bit of a pleasant surprise that.

Always on the cards, Manny played 20 on Tuesday and Askey saying he’s had one training session was rubbish too as we know he was at St George’s for a week the week before!

Huge huge boost though having those two back, arguably our best two players!

Superb first half bar the first four minutes! We’ve had long spells of pressure and unlucky not to be further ahead.

Orient defensively are absolutely all over the place. Epitieta is like a deer in headlights every time a ball comes in.

Got to keep getting the corners and crosses in and we could go on a win this well but have to keep 100% on it or we will throw it away.

Burgess has had a dream few days! First start first goal then scores a minute or so after coming on.

Would be fuming if we don’t win this based on that half.
