Of course he would, I keep forgetting that life mirrors what happens on a football field.
Yup, because there's definitely a ref there in a fist fight to give you a freebie if you go down like a sack of shit.
Fucking hell I give up, what a bunch of miseries you Lincoln lot are, do Lincoln fans just not understand sarcasm?

That should be the motto of all teams in the English 4th tier*

“Real football will always win”

Except Wycombe this season, their style worked pretty well

He’s a good player isn’t he?

No need to be like that DH it, i’ll start to take Coventry City FC serious again when they are back playing the likes of Leicester , Derby, Stoke and F*rest on a regular basis and not the likes of Morecambe, Port Vale Exeter and my beloved Notts County .

I remember those days well I went to City Ground and the then Walkers Stadium in the sky blues away end , they seem so long ago, so far away ;) but you are heading in the right direction ....... finally

Thinking about it, I feel that Lincoln's biggest mistake was focussing on Jayden Stockley, forgetting our midfield. Sounds like Coventry fans might be thinking that all they have to do is stop Stockley. I hope Robins thinks that too....

Boateng was the key man for Exeter and has been your motm the three times I've seen him.
No one near him at your place and he ran the show and scored the key goal straight after half time.
Should be a good final.
Eardley has just signed on for two more years so the disappointment of missing out is masked by that as he's a class act and far too good for div 4

Not sure why the other thread has been locked so I'll post in here.

Thought we were good value for the win last night. Harley continued to prove he's a big game player with another superb performance while Boateng ran the show in midfield. A great couple of goals from them as well. JMT dealt with Rhead superbly over the 2 legs and he's right in what he's said: A couple of years ago this side would roll over against the more physical types of teams but over the past 2 seasons the players have shown the fight they have and are willing to give as good as they get.

I've always admired what the Cowley brothers have done from afar and Danny's post match interview was classy, unfortunately that was the only bit of class he showed in the whole tie. The attempts at mind games and kidology in the media build up came across as very desperate. He and his coaching staffs actions on the touchline was embarrassing and enough to put the Evans and Raynor show to the shame. They really do appeal for absolutely everything.

Also, hope whichever fan assaulted the kit man is sufficiently dealt with by the appropriate authorities. A really scummy thing to do.

It feels great to be going back to Wembley again. Really hope we can finish the job this time. Tisdale is a genius and I can't understand anyone's reasons for wanting him out. I hope, if it is the end, he can go out on the highest of highs.
Not as desperate as Devon Live!

I can't think of too much, if anything, that was wrong. He had you as favourites in the second leg, which you were for obvious reasons so that's hardly mind games and his comments on Tisdale were experience of a similar situation here where he brought forward his contract signing announcement, because he felt it may have an unsettling effect on the squad with being linked to a couple of jobs.

Yep, a total non story if ever there was one. At least DC is gracious in defeat and usually says how it is rather than the normal gonads that certain managers trail out time after time.

How is moaning about refereeing decisions being gracious in defeat?

Well if we never complained about things we'd never get very far in life, and complaining about something isn't inherently ungracious.

Come on, he wasn't that moany given how some of the decisions went. He was very complimentary about Exeter, DC also played down the thugs goading the Lincoln fans and assaulting some of our staff.

"The best team won. We're disappointed with key decisions that went against us and we know that if some of those went for us, then maybe that would've affected their performance and outcome of the game.
"But they've scored two very good goals from distance and technically, they certainly beat us in that area of the game.
"We fought to the end, that's a pre-requisite, we should do. We're going to be disappointed, but we've got to keep that close.
"It's clear where we need to go next season and we'll come back stronger for this experience."
On their disallowed goal in the first half: "Matt Rhead's had a two-handed push in the back in the first half and it's just incredible how they've given the decision to disallow the goal for us.
"He is a Championship referee and I can't believe how poor his performance was tonight. It's a season's-worth of hard-work for ourselves out the window. Same with the penalty appeal in the second half.
"Decisions - some go for you, some go against you, you've just got to suck it in."

So either the best team won, or it's a season down the drain due to an incompetent ref. Which is it? And why no mention of the clear handball before the first goal?
