I try to view the game without the "my team" bias. Maybe he did miss some for both sides, but if anyone thinks he was even handed in todays game then they need to change their medication.

The way that both Lincoln and Notts play makes them incredibly difficult to referee and I don't think either Nolan or Cowley can complain if referees get more things wrong in their games when both teams deliberately play right on the edge.

I can't see any foul in the build up to our first goal at all, looking at the replay. Maybe a bit of a push by Virtue? If you're giving that though then the ball would've been in play for a total of about 17 seconds in the entire match.

Yep. No fouls in the build up to the first goal.

Today I saw more blatant cheating from both sides than I have seen for a long time. Freckles goes down like a right tart after a small push from Grant. He will probably be embarrassed if he sees it again. Never a red

The ref didn't favour Notts and even if he had, the linesman on our side missed a bucket load of offsides, general fouls, etc....

Tough physical match. Notts stood up to the frankly, over physical (dirty) play from Lincoln. Matt Green best player on the pitch, looked like he was going to score every time he got on the ball.
If we had a striker of Greens calibre, we'd have put the game to bed after half an hour. In the end the whistle couldn't come soon enough.
Ref was weak, linesman on a par.
Virtue made a promising debut, Noble looked way off the pace, defence was superb and Hewitt worked like a dog, as did Allessandra.
Would have thought a point suits Notts more than Lincoln.

I thought Virtue looked dead on his feet after 30 mins and well off the pace. Noble didn't get in the game but Notts were poor second half

Really???
He was in awe of your ex prem boss!
Bet he got signed photo off him after!
Both managers do the same thing but only one gets sent off.
Rheady should have had a pen.
Your right back was a gobby beggar again his volley of fouled mouthed abuse at the lino right on halftime in front of family are was disgusting.
I'm buying your defenders were injured every time ball went in the box, the certainly weren't in the first half as they got straight up every time.
The ref bottled sending off Grant for me as he went for his top pocket and changed his mind.
Thought Notts started but were getting into the game as they scored. Levelling straight away was vital.
Second half we pinned them in and should have been in front before we took with the move of the game.
Very sloppy defending for their second.
Our disallowed one near the of the game was one the ref couldn't wait to give as he had so many during the game when a county fell over.
O well on to next week

That's a terrible angle. From behind the goal, Green blatantly shoves Hewitt whilst he's jumping to knock him off balance. I'm not sure whether he needed to do it (would probably have got the ball anyway), but it was definitely a foul. Our goalkeeper and covering defender just stop as soon as it happens, which says it all.

I would agree that the ref was terrible but would focus on him booking Rhead early on and then being too scared to give him a second yellow despite four million fouls, not giving Woodyard a second yellow for completely clearing out Noble and booking Hawkridge despite him making absolutely no contact with the guy whatsoever. Almost like we focus on the things that have gone against our own team! :D
Woodyard didn't even get booked in the game. I think you mean the left winger, Williams.

Looks a trip on Habergham on the byline.

How can you call an offside from behind the goal? In all fairness to the linesman on that side, I didn't think he got an offside wrong all game for either side and was more often than not right in line with the defensive lines.

Ah, yes. Didn’t even realise you had someone called Williams so assumed the W guy was Woodyard. :D

For me there’s a hand in Habergham’s back but I think he realises that he’s misjudged where the ball is going and goes over to try and win the free kick. If that’s being given as a foul then I think we’d have been within our rights to get one every time you played the ball forward.

I also thought the linesman was fine fwiw - I’m always amazed at how bad people are at calling offsides.

I thought the Notts defenders had been drinking all morning. Every time the ball went into their box one of them passed out! Either that or there was a sniper perched on a roof top nearby.

That was the sort of game that made the conference years worthwhile despite the result. For me county shaded the first 30 mins before all kicked off.

After Nolan had a strong word, much more aggressive than Cowley was in my opinion, we didn’t get a big decision in our favour. It seemed like Joyce was in awe of Nolan.

Personally I don’t think it was a foul on Habergham leading up to County’s first goal just bad defending. Then great spirit from us to equalise, as I think if it stays 1-0 county shut up shop and win.

Then some how Rhead, doesn’t get a penalty despite being pulled to the ground, he has no reason to go down, he had a free header, and if it’s not a penalty in the refs eyes it’s a yellow for diving. A few minutes later another good penalty appeal as the defender handles bostwick header. County still look dangerous on the counter with Farman makes a great save front stead.

One thing that annoyed me at half time was Joyce smerking as he left the pitch, he enjoyed playing the villain a bit too much.

Second half starts and rhead should score but tries to be a bit too cut. another good shout for a penalty has green gets manhandled to the ground, for all our ‘dirty antics’ county we’re just as bad. Then Grant does what all good players do give him a sniff and a great finish. Then for me he spoils it. Right in front of me he gets tangled with frecklington and two handed shoved him to the floor, ref bottles it and only gives a yellow, a red in my opinion and if our player did that I’d expect the same. Then I the final bad decision when the county player no.6 I think gets turned by green and Palmer finishes, jumps extremely dramatically to win the ‘foul’ which Joyce gets suckered into.

County for me has been the first side to match us in terms of gamesmanship, falling over very easily, Nolan constantly at the ref etc.

Nothing wrong with the disallowed Lincoln goal, from the highlights anyway. Also nothing wrong with County’s first.

If we ever play Notts County with even numbers on the pitch, we will batter them. Good and committed game from both sides. Such a shame that the rank incompetence of the referee prevented a just result.
Funny that as I could've sworn it was 11 v 11 yesterday.

Mmm maybe the fat fuck going down like a sack of shit every time somebody comes near him may have swayed the refs decision slightly?
Seriously can't believe anyone would moan at that fat c*** not getting a decision with all the cheating he does week on week.
Maybe he didn't go down 'professionally' enough?

Fascinating game really, thought we were the better side until Lincoln's equaliser, then second half we were pretty poor but showed enough resilience to dig out a valuable point. In previous seasons we would have gone on to lose that 3 or 4-1. Heroic defending in the last 10, Brisley and Tootle fantastic. I have no doubt Lincoln will be up there come May, was impressed with the full-backs and midfield is an obvious strong point. Green gets a lot of stick for not being 'clinical' enough but he took his goal well and ran us ragged second half - I'd love us to have a striker who could do that. And I *thought* Bostwick had a great game and won absolutely everything, but watching the goals again he was at fault for the 2nd - took the ball off Rhead's head (unless he didn't get a shout), who would have cleared easily, and his poor attempted clearance went straight to Grant, who made no mistake. Don't know what Lincoln's run-in is like, but the high pressure tactics they employ, constantly putting it over the full backs' shoulders, looking for Rhead on the edge of the box to nod on or pull it down and look for a runner, etc etc, should see them gain plenty of points against the lower sides.

Still, good top of the table local derby, full house, pretty much as good as it gets in L2.

Great game spoiled by one of the worst referee performance's I've seen. By God that man has no interest in trying to let a game of football flow. Totally lost control, holding the game up speaking to people needlessly.

Ridiculous decision for the disallowed goal, defender found himself wrong side and jumped into Green's back and toppled over!! Unbelievable.

County defenders collapsing to the ground at every opportunity. Slightly embarrassing for them that their wives/girlfriends see them as men, lets hope they don't see the footage..why do you keep falling over dear isn't it a contact sport??

County fans very quiet, family club though..prefer it when the Lutons and Grimsby visit.

We'll finish above County no question. Nolan can't know ALL the refs in this league surely!

Family club is one of those bullshit phrases that means absolutely nothing. Like when anyone club makes a signing and he says it's a "big club". Saying that I prefer to play clubs who don't fancy a themselves as a poor mans Celtic with your banner displays and 5 minutes to prepare for a 50 man poznan.

Are all their wives/girlfriends (or boyfriends, it's 2018) elderly women?

Oh sorry didn't realise there was a time limit. Been rather busy since. Having dissected the game and my thoughts over those past 72 hours, I feel I have delivered a more sensible summary than the one I would have done had I commented at 5pm Saturday.

Haha the players love what we create it's had a major impact in a lot of our signings.

County have always been a family club, your fans sit on their hands and are just generally a nice bunch.

Lincoln, Grimsby and Mansfield are the rough and ready sort that make for great atmospheres from both sets during derbies.

What is this?
The game is over! All football fans are biased, they naturally view the game very differently. The officials are generally rubbish because they are part time and officiating 4th tier football with basically rubbish footballers on show! Why fans expect much more than this I don't know!

Clearly the Lincoln fans on here are a tender youthful bunch hence the consistent post match whining , OTT analysis of individual moments , more than normal bias and butt hurt postings. Too much twisted knickers in LN

The games done if it wasn't for the awul referees the imps would have had 6 points from the old lady of English football but instead just the one!

Sorry lads, thanks for the 4 points , maybe you will beat a Nottinghamshire club this season when you play the stags again

I wish you good luck in that game and finally a good ref lol

Do Lincoln fans just blame the ref and whoever else when they don't win? Same sort of reaction after the 4 - 1
