Would rather we didn't have a repeat of last season...

Aside from long termer Sam Habergham, we have no injuries. We've now settled on a formation and personnel after chopping and changing a lot in the opening games. Only decisions will be whether to bring Michael O'Connor back in and if so, which one of Pett, Frecklington or McCartan would make way but I think we'll be as the Tranmere game.

Bring your coat, it looks like it'll be hammering it down all day!

Like last Saturday, I'd snatch your hand off for a point at any stage between now and 5pm.

We'll see if this new 4-3-3 system works long term, I have my doubts, not convinced the Swindon game wasn't a one off. But if it works in this one, maybe it does have some legs. Going to need everyone at it, hopefully Ng and Pickering might be in the squad to help improve the depth and options.

I think we might break our away points duck tomorrow, be nice if we could get a little run going.

I’ve got a feeling Swindon could be a false dawn, and Lincoln will learn from the mistakes they made last season against us. They were so wide open to the break.

Lincoln 3-1 Crewe (Akinde 2, Andrade, Bowery) 9,106 (288 Crewe)

Last two goals we've conceded have been from a ball in behind...
Still don't think we've clicked and worked out how to get the best out of Akinde, when we do could be interesting...

Only sold 190 tickets for this. Not great for what it is a pretty decent away day.

Used to take twice that to Lincoln before we got into this 6 year rut of losing tons of games and our season's being ended by October. Club desperately needs winning football else more will vote with their feet in the near future.

That said, I'll be there tomorrow. Can't for the life of me see us winning but I'll take a draw all day long.

I’m a big fan of Akinde, but he looks devoid of confidence in front of goal. Can’t see him scoring two.

We’re still pretty susceptible to be a counter attack, especially given the pace of our defence.

Need to start taking our chances more and improving the final ball.

A meh performance at home from us but we just and I do mean just enough to win.
Poor penalty from Freck near the end that nearly cost us as Crewe came very close to equalising in injury time.
4 points clear at the top and we really aren't playing so I'm happy.
Fair play to the Crewe fans small in number but made plenty of noise

A win is a win- after 12 games, seen enough good, solid, quality performances to live with a huff n puff performance.

But we looked absolutely knackered at the end (some of the players looked knackered before half time)- think close to full squad rotation will occur for Tuesday checkatrade

Bit of a stodgy performance from us. Not Crawley bad but enough for it to be a bit huff and puff.

Felt as though we were guilty of trying to take Crewe on at their own game at times and got sucked into playing silly, pointless triangles in un-dangerous areas and slow in our build up play. Nor were we direct enough in our play and try and get in behind them and when we did, we scored and won a penalty.

A game where we again struggled against a side playing 3 at the back and got a much better hold in the second half when we brought Pett on and went 4-3-3, which gave us a bit more energy and another body in midfield.

Not seen the goal again yet but it looked poor keeping. Not sure how it's gone in.

Crewe were typical Crewe. Easy on the eye, good passages of play and had you feeling that something *might* happen but didn't have a final ball. Considering they had Bowry and Porter in the side, they were reluctant to get crosses into the box and also opted against shooting from the edge of the box so the sideways passing around the area didn't little damage.

Not a game that'll live long in the memory, not just our performance but there weren't too many chances in the game either.

Of course, the big news ahead of the game was that Bostwick's got rid of his Jesus hair.

I didn’t go yesterday but pretty much sums up most games I’ve seen us this season. I think we have decent enough quality in attack for this league but our complete lack of threat is bonkers. Christ knows how we managed six on day one because at times it’s hard to see us getting another six the rest of this season. A lot is made of Artell sacrificing our attack for a more defensive team but I don’t see it, we can get it forward through Kirk and Ainley but once in our own half we just haven’t got a fucking clue.

I stopped reading the Lincoln threads purely down to you as your opinion of me matters greatly and I can’t bear the thought of you thinking badly of me.
Thanks for the therapy I owe you one big time pal cheers.

I remain convinced Bossie listened to the chant away at Cheltenham last week- similar to the chant for Fellaini (which was originally a chant for Colocini when he was at Newcastle)- the term "I want gypsy hair too" was somewhat misplaced as a home fan chanting support for their player- Bossie must have been 5 yards from the away end when that was blaring out.

This week, his locks have been shaved off.

Maybe just a coincidence

You could see why you'd be difficult to stop if things did click like the 6-0 you had earlier in the season but it must be incredibly frustrating to watch when it doesn't (particularly when, looking at your results since the opening day and it doesn't look to have done too many times).

Seems many of our supporters that attended were unhappy. Apparently it was a last minute decision to move our supporters the Stacey west Stand, which was printed on the tickets, to then be put the little stand in the corner and part of the small stand behind the goal. I think ones that are complaining are in the little stand in the corner, where a few of them had a restricted view, not ideal when you’ve paid 20 odd quid, travelled a couple of hours and not been pre warned.

If you had brought more than 170 odd you might have been allocated part of the Stacey West. With home tickets being as they are the club want to maximise the support as other clubs would do in similar circumstances.

I've often said to my mate that I'd be less than impressed if I travelled a fair distance to a game and found I was seated in the "bus shelter".
