Exciting game a la Torquay last Good Friday. Thought it was a deserved victory. 1-0 down with Exeter time wasting at every opportunity I feared the worst but we showed balls and ground out a win. Would love to see Palmer's 'disallowed' goal, saw nowt wrong with it me sen.

Seen a clip of Palmer's disallowed header, nothing wrong with it. Thankfully it didn't matter.

Weren't at it in the final third in the first half, we looked very flat footed at times. They got the early goal and were very happy to time waste and like the last week the ref wasn't bothered. Even gave them a free kick for handball when Green was brought down in the box. The lino was also to let the Exeter left back gain 5-10 yards per throw and go over the line!
Then we got 2 in 2 minutes around the hour mark and the game was end to end.
Exeter got level we scored straight away only for it to be chalked off , need to see that again!!!
Then Palmer gets the winner and the place goes mental.
6 minutes of injury time clearly it was OK for Exeter to time waste but not us!
Best result of the season!

Disappointing loss considering we led for 50 mins or so. I do think that Lincoln probably deserved it judging by the pressure we were under at times. That said we hit the woodwork twice so perhaps should have gotten something.

I don’t feel dejected though as we gave it a decent shot and just came up short. I’m always more angry when we just don’t do ourselves justice, and today wasn’t one of those days.

Luckily other results weren’t too bad for us today so we move onto Monday where we need 3 points vs Cheltenham.

Well done Lincoln, suspect you may get playoffs. UTC

It's funny as reports I've heard were that Lincoln time wasted when they went in front. It's what teams do when they lead.
At least we gave it a go, never easy to take when you lose a lead and then concede at the death but can't fault the players for that. Hope they aren't worn out for Monday, assuming it's on.
We could still meet again in the playoffs, will try to get a ticket for that one.
Best of luck.

Of course we did but in that Times article, Tisdale "rails against time management and time-wasting" utter rubbish. Great turnout by both sets of fans, good atmosphere. On to Carlisle.

Yep we were definitely time wasting and the ref pulled us up straight away and rightly so but when you guys were doing it especially in the first half he didn't bother telling you guys to speed things up until you'd done on quite a few occasions, don't blame for doing it as you say all teams when they're in front especially away from home it was the lack of consistency. Granted when you were behind not seen a team take throws, corners and goal kicks quicker!
The noise made by both sets of fans was great, deafening when we scored and at the end when we won.

What a belting game. Could have gone either way, but I think ultimately a fair result.
Two good sets of fans. I particularly liked the way the Exeter lot went mental after we had stopped celebrating the ridiculously disallowed goal. That at least brightened the moment for me, very funny. Shame to hear about the seats being broken. Following such a long journey, I wouldn' be impressed stuck in the bus shelter and that corner, but to do such a thing is simply moronic. Also fair play, for once, an opposition and manager that hasn't winged that we are a team of mass murderers, just that we were the better on the day!
Finally, good on both managers. They both spoke well about the game, and could probably both have laid any outcome at the door of the buffoon in black. Without saying as much, I think They indicated he wasn't up to the job in hand.
Good luck for the rest of the season and we'll see Exeter at Wembley in May!

Answers on a postcard as to why the merry whistle blower deemed that goal to be disallowed. Thankfully Palmer got that late winner to scupper the refs attempt to keep it a draw. All we ask from the refs is consistency, it's unusual to hear DC say anything about the officials on the radio after a game so that speaks volumes. Would have been really gutting to have not won and overall a result our dominance deserved.

Was a great atmosphere from both sets of fans.

Wasn't there but a gutting result to take. Fair play to Lincoln, sounds like they probably deserved it but seems like we put up a fight so can't be angry with the result, just disappointed.

On the whole, with 7 games left, I'm sure 4 wins will see us in the playoffs come the seasons end. We've got relatively kind fixtures so I'd like to think we could do it but there will be plenty of twists and turns before May.

The ref yesterday was recently in the NL and it was far too fast for him and his assistants at times. When both managers diplomatically comment that he wasn't very good, that tells you what a day he had.

I'd be a little disappointed in Tisdale if I were an Exeter fan because their mind-set seemed to change from attacking to defensive quite a lot during the game. I think he probably wanted a drab game but when they went 1-0 up, they went all defensive, had a go at 2-1 down, equalised, and then sat back and invited us on. We're good at penning teams in when they have half a go at us, so it was dangerous game to try and defend the 18 yard box with Rhead in the side (see our equaliser). He must have felt they could have dealt with Rhead better than the pace of Green and Rowe but sitting that deep also gave ample chances for our full backs to cross the ball from good positions (see Eardley for Palmer's disallowed goal and the one that stood).

As is generally the case with us, much better second half with disallowed goal, 4 goals, crossbar, post, you name it. It was all going on. Brilliant second half.

Good header from Rhead deflecting Stockley's volley onto the other post, btw. Square in the face, that one!

Eardley continues to churn out incredible performances week in, week out at RB, Bostwick looked like a CM playing CB yesterday and wasn't particularly great, Wharton seems to be improving, Woodyard is Woodyard and bringing the flair of Rowe in for the work rate of Williams gave us a little bit of something else at times.

Not sure what Palmer's eating at the minute but it's working.
