Not a surprise but this is a sell-out in home areas because Wycombe decided to take up their full allocation, as they're entitled to do, even though I doubt they'll get above 450 to really justify it(?). Leaves 1,200 or so empty seats, which we could've sold.

Pretty sure we'll move things around for this one after the Vale no show. I imagine DC will want Bostwick to 'screen' Akinfenwa at every opportunity so will be in CM with Wharton back in for Whitehouse.

Rowe went off with a slightly knock against Vale so Anderson may come in.

Not there myself, midweek games aren't great for me.

And of course Sir Gareth Ainsworth back at the Bank.

yeah, I'd be very surprised if we took more than 450.

4 cup finals left (© My First Book of Football Cliches), and any slip-up at this stage will be a boon to the chasing pack.

I'm not taking this game any more lightly than the Accy home game on Saturday, if anything it's harder as LCFC need to go in all guns blazing to ensure their playoff spot, and Accy may have already been crowned champions by the time we face them.

That said, maybe that could play to our advantage in that they kind of have to win - we're more in the situation of needing to not lose, but we can't take anything for granted at this stage.

I'll say 1-1.

McGinley a centre back only played on Saturday because others were injured and he played most of the 2nd half struggling with an injury himself so god knows who will be playing alongside El-Abd who is our only fit central defender :ffs: At a guess i reckon it might be midfielder Marcus Bean which fills me with a sense of horror unless right back Harriman goes there with midfielder Dom Gape playing right back, with our defence's injuries a point would be a cracking result.

Nah, I think we have the right to recall Will de Havilland from loan if we're that short - I think somehow GA has a way of coping lined up, otherwise I reckon we'd already have recalled de Havilland so he can at least get a day's training in with the squad.

Maybe Sido's fit again, who knows.

Wouldn't a draw be preferable?

Depends if we’re looking up or down. I think a surprise away win at the weekend means we can feel a bit more secure in having a play-off place and hope for a Lincoln win here to put us back in with an outside chance of catching Wycombe.

Oh. He's been recalled. That's ominous, then.

Let's hope it's just as cover on the bench and either Jombati or McGinley are fit as De Havilland playing scares the crap out of me and probaly Ainsworth as well that's why he's always on loan to a Conference club.

I’ve always like you, Lincoln. Nice colours, decent support etc. Just win ffs.

Hoping Adam El-Abd drops a bottle of salad cream on his foot and has to miss this one through injury, too.

If we attack like we did in the second half against you guys we would have a great chance of winning, best we've played in a half going forward this season.

I’d much rather a draw here. Notts have to really win all 3 remaining games so 1 point makes no difference. What it does do is wobble Lincoln’s form a little more should we meet in the play offs.

Unfortunately as apparently this entire board wants us to win, we will lose, sorry.

I'll take a point here after the weekend so long as we beat Col U on Saturday.

Whilst I'm sick to death hearing about "The Cowley Brothers" and how they're curing world poverty, eliminating malaria and setting up a network of homes for abandoned puppies all whilst managing a L2 football team, just for tonight they will be my favourite duo since Wham! Plus, nobody likes Wycombe.

Used enjoy a light ale or two with both of them back in the day, good bunch the Beck side were as were Keith's players.
Which makes the news about Kevin Austin just that bit worse, terminal cancer at just 45, awful.

I don't recall Wycombe as being one of teams crying about us being nasty to their poor little players. On that basis, providing we still make 7th, i couldn't give a flying fuck if we lose tonight. Maybe we will write to the FA about the beast if he is too strong for us

Our players give as good as they get when it's needed with The Beast first in to protect our younger players which should be enough to put anyone off.

Always seemed up for a drunken chat in Pulse/Ritzys I seem to recall.

Yes terrible news about Super Kev. What a player he was for us.

Ainsworth has gone for experience with Matt Bloomfield,Sam Saunders,Craig Mackail-Smith and Nathon Tyson all coming in, Luke O'Nien and Dom gape miss out through illness. De Havilland is only a sub thank god the bench is the best place for him as long as he doesn't have to come on.
