Well, interesting game. Credit to DC, he could've launched into the ref after the game but was reserved and he's right, we should have found a way to win.

I know Wycombe had a couple of injuries and losing Akinfenwa didn't help but my god the time wasting and the feigning of injury was a disgrace. We get called up on our 'game management' but I've never seen anything like it. From the kick off the goalkeeper in particular wasn't interested in a game of football. The referee had to be stronger but wasn't interested. Wycombe's goalkeeper was warned 5 times in the first 40 minutes of play to stop timewasting, the ref produced zero cards so this carried on.

I think we only saw 45 mins of action due to Wycombe's tactics which was a shame. When they tried to play they caused us issues and Allsop had to make a couple of smart saves. But for 99% of the game they just wanted to interrupt the game with time wasting and feigning of injury.

For us two goals disallowed, Rhead's I'm not sure about. Anderson had a case for a penalty but it didn't look it to me. We just couldn't force a decent 10 minute spell of pressure due to the ongoing 'injuries' throughout the game.

Such a shame as this had the hallmarks to be a real physical blood and thunder game but it was wasted.

I don’t know what to say, it’s infuriating to watch as a Wycombe fan when we do that, let alone for an opposition fan.

Playing the rules of the game, not the game itself.

I hated it when Westley’s Stevenage used to do it, and now we are that side.

I think Ainsworth has been a positive for this club, but if he took us up (certainly not a foregone conclusion), and he got poached, but we stopped doing the worst of the gamesmanship shit, I’d be perfectly happy.

We're no angels, particularly away from home but we normally at least get in front before doing a bit of games management.

I just left deflated as it could've been such a good game.

3 points needed at home to Colchester.

Thing is, if the ref had a spine and really stamped down on it straight away, and we are talking numerous times within the first 5-10 minutes, Wycombe wouldn't have been able to get away with it so easily. I don't expect sides to simply roll over, we time waste and try to negate the opposition but I haven't ever seen a side timewaste from the first throw in onwards as bad as Wycombe did tonight.

I've only listened to part of DC's interview and he said he'd seen replays and our first disallowed goal was onside but the second disallowed one was the correct decision.

Does sound as though Ainsworth channelled his inner-Wimbledon, which is a shame in terms of how the game should've gone with two half-decent sides. As DC said, 9,000 turned up on a Tuesday night to watch a game of football and didn't get one. That said, he's always honest and said we need to be able to get past those sort of tactics (which we employ but not to that extent it seems) and we weren't quite good enough to do so even if the disallowed goal would've changed that.

We wasted plenty of chances especially in the first half so IMHO we only have ourselves to blame.
Yes the ref was weak and Wycombe's time wasting/ gamesmanship was awful but if you fluff the chances we did you aren't going to win.
The ref should have maybe booked a Wycombe player or two early on to stop them time wasting (the keeper and the right back spring to mind as the worst offenders!) it have nipped it in the bud.
We cant really talk as every team do it away from home but maybe Wycombe went a bit far last night.
We should have gone 442 to stretch the game in the second half but we didn't for whatever reason and the fact we lack another goalscorer holds us back too.
Still with four to go and we're 6th isn't a bad return to league football.
