Lainton

Hall Johnson

French

Subs-

Dibble

We could see another couple of signings on top of this in the next week.

Brindley - Rawlinson - Cameron
Kelly-Evans - Palmer - Francis - Taylor
Roberts - Rodrigues
Wootton

Subs:
Chicksen
O’Brien
Nemane
Sam
Mitchell

Only area that’s up for question really is attacking midfield. Roberts is still working his way back to full fitness and Rodrigues has had Covid and only just returned to training, so wouldn’t be surprised if O’Brien started ahead of one of them.

Hold your horses weve not even signed two of those players and Lainton is struggling with a back injury.

I'd be pretty confident going into the first game with that team though.

You already claiming Hayden will be starting for you?

Assuming he's going to Wrec$am regardless we're still expecting he'll be in our starting lineup today.

I just hope he has a big release clause you had to meet.

Can't wait till this all goes up in smoke for you

Our first game as in 2 weeks today. If he signs he’ll be in ours on that day, not yours.

Hope that is clear enough behind those tears.

I mean, assuming it's true of course, losing one of your key players on the morning of kick-off, and we're already light in defence, it going to mess things up a bit. Anyway I'm sure Hartlepool have one or two players Wrexham might fancy.

Hinchliffe
Fish Hogan Barclay
MSH Croasdale Collar Rydel
Rooney
Madden Quigley

Kitching only started running after a lengthy back injury which he's been out wih since February so it's between Rydel and Walker for LWB. I'd probably go Newby or Whitfield and drop Rooney back deeper but I think the above will be Rusk's choice. Still a chance we may look for another holding midfield player now Maynard has gone which would potentially put Croasdale's place in jeopardy.

They had a hard on for the manager at one point but I say this with the utmost sincerity, there isn't a single player they'd want from us

Bigger teams poach players for more money all the time, you're a league above but it doesn't really matter these days, it's just one of those things you have to accept.

Getting the full gamut of sour grapes on the Carlisle forum

We are a small jumped up hobby club bound for disaster as soon as the owners get fed up.
We were getting all that off your lot apparently when it was dressed up that we'd nabbed Quigley.

All part of the game of life.

Can I just remind everybody that we're all scum down here. Anyone below Championship is pure scum.

Can understand the sour grapes he is their best defender vice captain and Celtic and Sunderland have been chasing him too

Hard to say for us at the moment with still a couple of key players to probably come in. I’ll say roughly as it stands:

Johnson
New RB Maher Bradbury Senior
Summerfield Green
Allen Warburton Gilmour
Waters

Subs:
Backup GK
Benn
Woods
Spence
Slew

I think we'll start 352. I'd like us to start Chicksen over Taylor who I've some doubts about.

Nemane right wing back is a possibility - I think it’s going to be one from Nemane/Taylor each game and one from DKE/Chicksen to keep it balanced.

It's definitely competitive as a fully fit Roberts starts you'd think.

First name on the teamsheet if he’s fully fit, but judging by pre-season we’re going to take our time with him. Starting again today, mind..

Rowe has said we should expect a couple incomings between now and the start of the season - most likely a second choice GK and a striker.

However - I think regardless of that our line up will be something like this:

Loach
King Carline/Kerr Grimes Maguire. Miller
Oyeleke Khan
Clarke
Rowe Payne/New striker

Right now considering injuries I'd imagine it'll be something like...

McKeown
Efete----Pearson----Longe-King----Crookes
Clifton----Coke----Fox
McAtee----Adlard----Sousa

Front three is absolutely ragtag right now without LJL, Taylor, Wright and Scannell. Almost worth not doing as we'll surely be bringing in another striker. Don't think McAtee is a wide player from what I've seen/read. Adlard is a kid, but we don't have a fit number 9.

Yep that’d be my preferred line up too. I really like what Payne does for the team, he’s a handful, happy to run channels and put himself about which opens up plenty of space for the more talented Clarke and Rowe to do the damage, so even if we bring a new man in I can see JR sticking with payne in there for the first game

That midfield 3 just oozes class though, definitely my favourite part of our team so far from what I’ve seen..

That’s how I think we’ll go first game although Vilhete may be put in the 10 role since away to Stockport is a tough opening, which means one of the front 3 would have to miss out.

Personally think we were keeping Khan and signing a top drawer CB away from being title challengers. As it is, I think we’ll be in the play off hunt but could just as easily miss out on the top 7 with so many other sides seemingly well equipped too.

Forgot about Grant when I did this, so at present it's probably...

Khan has looked very good in pre season so far, I can see why you guys liked him so much and were gutted not to keep him

I definitely think you will be in and amongst it this season, the firepower you’ve got is on a par with any of the top teams on paper really. Are you still looking to add to your squad do you know, or is that you guys complete?

Difficult to forecast the team for Yeovil at the moment as PP has stated he is still looking for 4/5 players.
But assuming everyone is fit I think he will go 3 5 2

Now that Keates has moved on with his negative tactics and with our new attacking options if nothing else I am certain we will score more goals this season

Good that you know. Clarke in for a big year. Can see Rowe getting 20 easy aswell. Most other years I'd be confident about a good year but this league is dynamite this year, so many good squads, and not just meaning the big names

I think we’re pretty much done bar perhaps a young striker coming in as one for the future. Ultimately, I imagine we’ll be in the loan market at different points of the season as we’ve cut the squad and feel a touch light at CB/CM.

Ours will probably be something like -

Hinchliffe
Billy the Fish, Hogan, Barclay
Southam-Hales, Croasdale, Collar, (Whitfield/Rydel/Walker)
Rooney
Madden, Quigley

The big questionmark being that LWB spot where there's three in good contention, Walker wasn't great there last season but had a great game against Guiseley by all accounts.

Midfield looks the best we've had for years - the options on the bench in midfield are quality too so got to commend Rowe on what he's done there. Upfront we look a bit light, I agree I think Payne is a good addition but we only currently have Tyson as a back up option which is a concern.

The only player we've brought in this summer that I have question marks over is Loach - but prepared to give him a chance.
