I can get you crazy good too! The only reason it looks so easy is I've been playing 2 years.

Flying is easy as long as you don't flat-line boost until you're dry. Feather the boost and you'll get more control in the air (tap it instead of holding it, if you need to carry on going up, tap it a few times, this ends up being a natural reflex)

Most of the stuff, it's just a case of getting it wrong a few times until you get it right and it feels natural. I learned everything that's cool I do from just jumping into Chaos games and causing... well.. chaos.

It's still possible to do that, just... uhh.. turn off the chat to drown out the salt-lords who take the casual modes seriously, and I'm sad to inform that the game is absolutely infested with them. (Always available for casual and Private games though)

Also, being totally clairvoyant helps.

It was definitely great the first 18 months, but the levels have gone full salt/toxicity since then unfortunately. It's been an adjustment, as I too love the banter when the spirit is right, it just seldom is. It's a crying shame really, there are some super nice people playing but they're always drowned out.

Now it's just all "you're the worst player I've ever seen" all the time, no matter the result. It's very tiring.

My favourite ever was me and my mate trying to get the achievement for Wingman on Gears 2. Every time we started a game, there was literally just this one guy in it on his own with no bots and he just destroyed us every single time. So we changed our tactics, basically hit at opposite ends of the map and sniped, finally beat him and got the achievement. He sent both of us an abusive message about playing the game like pussies and if we were real men we would come out and fight properly! He didnt get that us having to completely change out tactics multiple times to beat him was a compliment!

He's probably playing rocket league now, hahahahaha. Sounds like one of the regulars tbh.

I had one send me a message after a game basically telling me I was too good and must have had no life at all. He's the only person I've ever replied to that sent me salt.

I said "What do you mean? You're messaging someone who beat you 10 minutes after the game to say I have no life? Good one."

No more salt was received.

I avoid a lot of shit in online games because people dont tend to figure out that Im a girl. There is no reference to it in my Gamertag, and my voice isnt a dead giveaway either. My friend had to actually change her Gamertag because the amount of crap she was getting was ridiculous. Her voice is also quite high, so anyone ever asks is she a girl, she says she's a 12 year old boy!

Unfortunately, I wont be doing much online gaming anytime soon! I dont play online on Playstation or Steam, and Im that skint, Ive not even got a renewal on my Xbox Live when it runs out next week! Will likely wait until something decent pops up on GWG again.
