There is the first back. Gestede. All they need is Traore on now and the comeback could be on.

Shame on you for this negativity, shame on you.

This side is capable of brilliance, but more often than not they shoot themselves in the foot. Studgy is doing the job though here! :D

If Sturridge stays fit until the end of the season, which really is a big if, he'll be worth an extra 10 points alone.

What did I just tell you. ;)

I said you'd win, you are winning - what did I tell you?

If Villa get one back it's a reflection of the negativity you lot have been sending out into the universe!

Looking much better going forward, but the defense is still a shambles.

Saltire, Pagnell, and DanbyLFC all dead wrong again I'm afraid.

Show some faith in your team lads.

For shame.

Why doesn't he play Gomez in his CB position instead of Can playing in a position he doesn't want to. Sick of it. Can was asleep for that 1st Villa goal.

Think the system was decent and we dominated most of the game. Should have played this from the start of the season. Sturridge is back!

Encouraging for Liverpool that Sturridge is back and scoring. When Benteke gets back they could be a formidable* team.

Sorry, I missed the t out of formidable

It was just a one off to raise awareness of the anti poverty group that was on their shirts.

I reckon other club will do it too. I bet you're a happy bunny today what with city getting tanked and you going top. Do you think you can win the league?

Yes I'm happy and no I don't think we'll win the league. We're solid but not good enough.

For the first time in a while we actually played some decent football going forward, but even a 2 goal lead at home against teams like Villa is always dodgey for us which isn't really acceptable. We were solid for the first 3 games defensively and now we've gone back to our usual ways.

I'm not sure what Can's position is meant to be but he shouldn't be in defence. B-Rod played him CB and pushed Skrtel into midfield against Carlisle, I have literally no idea what the thinking was behind that but he's not doing himself any favours with wanting to keep his job.

Why's Can getting all the stick? Sakho was far and away the worst of the three. Had it been Lovren we'd be talking about twitter death threats.

Can is let off only because he can contribute going forward, yet he's not being played in his natural position. That's not his fault no but when he near enough tries to assist Gestede in the first half that is his fault. He looks like he's just been shoved in defence to try and help out bit then runs around like a headless chicken.

Rodgers needs questioning over his tactics. He's a better manager when he doesn't have versatility or options to his disposal as he gets funny ideas about where he should play certain players.
