Mourinho left Mata on the bench and I have to admit the sense of relief at that decision was tangible in the Kop ,it was evident he envisaged yet another war of attrition with United strangling any chance of fluidity ,but I think Klopp proved he's astute enough to ensure that any occurrence of Deja Vu was no longer on the table for United.

I honestly think few teams would have lived with Liverpool on Sunday and the criticism and media onslaught that seem intent on disparaging Mourinho's every soundbite and team selection is ridiculous, I mean before this game United were picking up points and imo the only thing the manager got wrong with his team selection was sitting the player who has been the proverbial thorn in our side on the bench.

Pogba has looked decidedly disinterested when he's been selected so he shouldn't have played in this game and I dont see how Mourinho could use a player who has shown such a complete indifference to United's plight. I can remember Gerrard playing a game for us at Anfield and leaving the field devoid of making one solitary tackle or interception and the Kop destroyed him when he left the pitch ,I honestly believe this is the biggest kick in the teeth you can deliver to the fans and club you profess to love.
