I thought the match was a strange one as we didn't play particularly well ,Henderson in the second half didn't put a foot wrong ,which was in complete contrast to his first half showing
Mane and in particular Firmino's first touch was woeful and Salah was only marginally better. & yet we still ran out comfortable winners albeit from not hitting the required standards we've shown in recent outings . Another victory & another clean sheet & another good atmosphere & another slot from Shaqiri & 7 points ahead of City & a perfectly valid reason to bask in the warm glow of Cities misfortune.
Some people have drawn parallels between Niasse's dive against Crystal Palace that got him a 2 game ban and Salah's dive against Newcastle that has been celebrated and endorsed by Liverpool fans.
If Salah stays on his feet Newcastle would have 'definitely' been inspired to leave their own half but as it transpired Salah falls down thus rendering Newcastle's quite evident aspirations to find an equalizer totally without foundation and obviously this turn of events invariably leads to Newcastle being content with conceding two more goals and walking away from Anfield in abject humiliation with the scoreboard reading 4-0.
