Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

Absolutely correct. I was just (badly) highlighting that for years plenty of odious Liverpool supporters have sung their filth about Munich, but as soon as someone mentions Hillborough they, and the press, get all sanctimonious and jimmies get rustled. Hypocrites.

In fairness, the press have (rightly) been just as quick to condemn the Munich chanting from what I've seen. Jeez. I remember before the game on the 50th anniversary when City fans were getting pre-emptively slaughtered about chants they hadn't chanted yet, and actually, come the day, wouldn't chant. There was talk of drafting in the army to control the fans, and baton charges during the minute's silence, points deductions and lifetime bans for anyone who even so much as coughed.

But yeah, it's the 'whataboutery' that's bollocks. If United fans really do think that it's acceptable, just because Liverpool fans have chanted about Munich, then they should grit their teeth and accept those songs from fans of Leeds, because the 'Istanbul Reds' flag gives them a free pass, and should just put up with the chants back from Liverpool fans. #logic

I wonder if, should Kidderminster Harriers ever suffer a tragedy, it would be morally acceptable for me to sing sick chants about it, because their fans once sang an unpleasant song about the death of Macc's chairman back in the 90s?

Is there a statute of limitations on it?

Fellaini has avoided action for his elbow on Can. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Herrera has been trash-talking ahead of this one. Lets see how he gets on tomorrow if he actually plays! :D

Surely United can't be any worse than they were in first leg. I expect this game to be very tough with a lot of anxious moments. United will have a point to prove....can't go into the game thinking we are already through to the next round.

Anyway I will miss tomorrows game. Gonna catch the full game later.

These foreign fans that can't even be bothered to wake up to watch their teams.

It's nothing short of a complete and utter disgrace if you ask me.

Paddy gave me a free £10 bet which I've put on United to qualify, which will inevitably happen. Liverpool will undoubtedly Liverpool this up and De Gea will be MOTM.

Manchester United need a 2+ goal win and Liverpool not to score? Is that it?

We've left ourselves too much to do, can't see us keeping a clean sheet.

The more I think about this game the bigger I think it is. Alright, it's the Europa League and nothing compared to the Champions League, pretty much the Capital One Cup of the domestic cups against the FA Cup as a comparison if you like, but I think the introduction of the winners getting a place into the Champions League gives it that bit more of an edge, and it's at this stage that some of the teams left in it are big names in the footballing world.

I'd rather finish 6th and win this than get 4th, and I think it's probably more realistic to think we can win this than get 4th.

I had a good feeling about last weeks game, but tonight I've just got a weird feeling were going to get dicked.

Edit - Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Milner, Can, Henderson, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Sturridge. Subs: Ward, Toure, Smith, Benteke, Allen, Origi, Ibe.

Milner right back and Clyne at left back?

Probably, looks like Moreno didn't make it for fitness and I don't think Smith can be picked for this in such a monumental game. Just a shame Flano wasn't registered for the Europa.

I would've started Memphis, he's usually very good against crap sides at home in Europe. Carrick-Felliani-Mata didn't work last week and I don't expect it to work tonight, no energy or movement.

Early united goal would be great for this tie. Early Liverpool goal and the tie becomes a bore
If Liverpool score the tie is over United won't score 4
