Kaine Kessler Hayden. RB from Villa. Looks a great prospect. Final ball is probably the only thing currently lacking from his game. Villa offered him a 5 year contract before the season started so clearly rate him.

Alex Gilbert. AMC/ST from Brentford. Just a young kid but looks like he has promise. Very intelligent and good on the ball. Has done well so far.

Rom Crichlow. CB from Huddersfield. Probably the best of them all. Good in the air, calm and comfortable on the ball and has a good amount of pace. Would be very happy if we brought him in permanently.

Really pleased to hear that he's doing well. We had him a couple of years ago and played him mostly at left back. He looked decent in the friendlies then had a hesitant start to the season but there looked to be some talent there. He then suffered what must have been the most horrific trauma in his personal life, and we saw little else of him before he went back to Huddersfield in the new year. I wish him well.

Finn Azaz from Villa, doing well and he should after being a regular for Cheltenham last season.
Ollie Cooper from Swansea, should be one of the first names on the team sheet.
Timmy Abraham from Fulham. Blinding pace but immature habit of fouling after losing the ball, time after time..
Jake Cain from Liverpool. Started twice, subbed twice, doesn't look L2 standard and that's putting it mildly.

We have Theo Archibald (left sided winger/forward) from Lincoln on a season loan and Alex Mitchell (CB) from Millwall. Both have had a big impact and look good players. I think we may well try to sign Archibald later in the season if he can continue in the same form. He is definitely enjoying his football at the moment.
Tyrese Omotoye from Norwich too! Season long loan.

Easy to forget as he’s barely featured due to Harry Smiths form and the fact that Omotoye has talent but needs time to learn when to shoot, pass, run into certain spaces and improve his first touch.

If Harry Smith gets injured we’ll be in the shit a bit striker wise!

Some of our best players over the last few seasons have been on loan.

Last season Tom Davies and Bobby Thomas last season were key in helping us stay up, and the season prior to that Matt Platt, Tom White and Lewis Hardcastle were instrumental in our promotion season. The latter three all made permanent eventually. Sadly there hasn't been much luck with the latter three since. Hardcastle was forced to retire at 22 after being diagnosed with a heart condition, Platt has struggled with various injuries and White has slipped down the pecking order since the lads from Leeds came in.

Usually Barrow fans have a bit of an obsession about going back to former players and loanees all the time though, as if they were the only players to ever exist.

Pipe down Princess Anna.

Omotoye looks too raw for League football and should be on loan in non-league somewhere.

Mitchell wouldn’t get in my XI when everyone is available, but I’ve been pleased with him. Theo Archibald is flat-out our best player. Hope he finally settles at a club and it’s us.

Yeah we could do with maybe one more but once Paul Smyth gets going we have a number of players who can play through the middle just no other big lumps. Sotiriou and Drinan are capable down the middle. It's arguably Sotiriou's best position and it would be good for him to get more minutes, he's actually looked good when he has played.

Luke Thomas, on loan from Barnsley. A real coup to get this lad as he is far too good for league 2. Had to come out of the squad to work on his fitness, but came on yesterday to setup the last 2 goals.
Also a shout out to Connor Taylor, tall CB on loan from Stoke - 19 Year old rookie who has taken his chance and is now an integral part of our defence. makes the odd mistake but is important in both boxes

Thomas was very impressive at Valley Parade earlier this season. Is he on a 6 or 12 month loan?. Wouldn't mind seeing us sniffing around Barnsley for him to be honest

Season long loan. Barton has criticised him in the press as he hasnt been right mentally and physically.... but he looked a lot sharper in our last game before Covid hit.
He is far too good for L2 when his head is right

For once this is actually one where our location works in favour for us. Think he’s a local-ish lad and was struggling mentally being away from family so wanted to move back to the West Country. 99% of times this works against us Vs London or northern teams tbh so it’s a nice change for once.

He has really struggled at times as mentioned above, but when on his game he’s top quality down here. All depends on whether he likes playing for Barton really on whether we want/can keep him
