Because, after all, the barometer by which all cities should be judged is the extent to which they accept Scottish notes as valid currency.

Priorities.
It is a UK city after all and should accept them. Other English cities have no problem with that, but London has to be special.

I lived in London for many years and spent Scottish notes freely.

Well if they have accepted it fair play but anytime I went there back in the day they just refused them point blank.

I'm no Torie, Labour, Lib Dem, Green and most certainly No Separatist mate. Believe it or not Salty I voted Labour in 1997 (admittedly having voted conservative previously but became sick of them) and eventually regretted that due that c*nt Bliar.

After voting for Bliar in '97 I was so disillusioned with politics nationally that I gave up actually voting until fairly recently....but that's by the by. I respect your choice but they are not for me mate.
