Looking for some help

Hey All, long time lurker here.

I've recently started a new community site - the general concept is that it's a middle ground between editorial and community posts - each page is owned by someone with an interest in the topic - eg football, or The Cobblers (my team ;-) but the community at large can chat & share content too.

I'm looking for people to step up and create/run the communities for their respective clubs

I'm not going to post a link or anything like that, because I don't want to spam.

Well you have a very strange definition of advertising - You couldn't find the site unless i told you, so it's pretty bad advertising.

But hey, forums are about opinions right, so you're entitled to yours - So I apologise if you've taken offense to the post

dictionary definition:

the act or practice of calling public attention to one's product, service,need, etc., especially by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc.

u are calling attention to your product, u are just making us have to take the effort to find out what it is. so not only is it still advertising, despite you 'not [wanting] to spam', it's lazy advertising making us do the work. if you're gonna spam do it properly

I've not called attention to a product, there is no reference to the product at all. Think what you like, if you're not interested then whatever - don't respond, I don't think i've done anything wrong or doing any harm asking for help - so just move on, what are you adding to anything here? nothing.

i don't like spam. it's rude to appear in a community and immediately post an advert elsewhere, if u were really sincere about this you could have posted a bit more beforehand, building up a rapport so a thread advertising your site appears less self-serving. pming a mod would have worked too, but you're not sincere and your inability to understand why it's unacceptable is telling

I've used this community for many years (under it's previous name) - As i've said i'm sorry if you took offence, I have been posting in other topics. It's not for you to decide if i'm sincere or not , that is nothing but your opinion. I also disagree that it's an advert, and that's my opinion. But this conversion isn't benefiting anyone. So let's just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
