Luton are now the only team in HISTORY to score 7 three times before Xmas in the Football League.

Glad I was watching Albatross in the Atlantic 24 miles south of Cape Town. Just finished some nice calamari followed by hake and chips with a couple of bottles of Hogwash. Result was not much worse than I expected. Glad I don't have to comment on the actual game. It's a hard life.

Well thank fuck I didn’t go, Derry really has excelled himself this time but we’ll still have to endure his awful brand of football for a while longer.

Feel sorry for every u that went.

Cabbage anyone?

Cambridge were very poor to be fair. They came with a very negative game plan and were lucky to survive 25 minutes without conceding. Can't believe they were time wasting so early in the game. It was just a matter of time before the first went in and you felt once it did a lot more would come. Like many teams this season their heads drop and they run around in circles not knowing who to pick up. I thought we dropped the tempo second half but still scored 3 goals. Fantastic goals today too, especially the Lee brothers. Ollys has quite rightly got the attention but Elliott two were superbly taken. What a dilema for NJ. Bring back Collins or keep Elliot in the team?
The crowd at the Kenny certainly get entertainmnent value.
Luke Berry was quiet yesterday but at least the fans reminded him why he left Cambridge. I think he could see for himself based on that performance.

It's disappointing what we've become to be honest. In 14/15, we had a conference team playing league football but we had a brilliant 3rd round FA cup win over Luton in January that season. It wasn't that we were brilliant(far from it), more that there was plenty of guts and fight in the team. We were hanging on for dear life in the end but it was a well fought win.

That doesn't happen anymore, there's no digging in. We just come up against someone better and expect to lose, and therefore don't fight. The defeat yesterday has been on the cards for a while as, despite our defensive record before hand, most of us know we've not really been that good there. It's more been Derry's negativity which has got us these boring draws.

Out of our current squad, I think we have four decent players. Forde (though he'll be embarrassed by the second goal yesterday), Halliday, Dunk and Ikpeazu. Brown has potential. The rest are bang average or poor, no better than what we had in 14/15. They might be better technically but in terms of application or fight they are way short.

It's so disappointing to just become an "average League 2 club". I would have snapped your hand off for that five years ago but I can't stand it now. Derry has to go and there needs to be a big overhaul of the backroom staff and team to make this enjoyable again.

Where's Jabo at? I noticed neither him not Ikpeazu in the squad yesterday.

Read that Cambridge had only conceded 16 goals prior to Saturdays game. Perhaps it wasn't a case of Cambridge being so poor just a case of us making you look poor. The three teams managers who have been on the end of a thrashing have focused more on their own players rather than accepting that Luton on their day are unplayable which we can be. Respect to the fans of those clubs who give us the credit we deserve judging by what I've read. Getting outplayed happens to us all.

How long have Cambridge fans been saying 'DERRY OUT' for now?

Lee Clark is available, should give him a chance. :2thumb:

I'm personally only up to two months but others have wanted him gone for over a year now, plus obviously plenty in between. Then there are the cu.... I mean.... "few" who still don't want him gone.

Average is probably 8 or 9 months now.

Note from Post Office to David Forde.

You where not at home when we delivered your package on Saturday so we left it in your designated place.

I wanted Derry out after his first half season with us. Others will say he did a great job and we nearly made the top seven but afaic that was only to be expected when considering the very decent squad, full of loanees btw, he had at his disposal that season. I've always believed that a decent squad can get results in spite of the manager. But the main reason I wanted him gone was that I could see how dull his brand of footy was, and his reluctance to take chances in the must-win games.

Others said he would learn from his mistakes and he would become more adventurous the following season. He didn't change his ways, just as I had thought.

Leopards don't change their spots.
